What concerns me most about all of this is that we're being knocked backwards to make up for lack of content. I do realize this game is only three months old, and this is the first expansion. But we're being forced back into what we've been doing just to keep us active. I'm currently on the fence about having to re do all of my exotic weapons. However I think without doing some other key changes, you're just making it more redundant than it all ready is. Here are my major concerns, and i'm leaving out the exotic ordeal because like i said, i'm currently on the fence. 1) Commendations: With the only way to get commendations is by raising my reputation level with that faction. it seems you've slowed down the player bases upgrade path . I have no problem with having to be a certain reputation level to purchase gear. But now i'm limited to 1 commendation per level gain. So basically all the reputation i've earned since launch is worthless, and any marks i have in reserve are going to basically go to waste while i attempt to gain the levels. 2) Light level requirements for content : I have NO problem with having the maximum light level to participate in "Hard" mode raids. It makes total sense. However, it seems with the commendations, and the 30 light level requirement for the normal mode. You've just thrown me right back into the horrible loot slot machine that is the VoG while i wait to gain reputation with the vanguard to get a commendation. 3) With all these changes you are making, you aren't raising the glimmer cap, the cap on marks, or adding new ways to gain reputation with any of the factions. in fact, you're adding one new faction "Eris" and making getting any upgrades take longer than before (other than the VoG loot table, i have no problem with the current) . My biggest fear is that i'm about to get an expansion that i'll not get any use out of past the first week. I just got put behind the eight ball because rather than have future small content releases you've decided that its better to slow down progression. I seriously don't mind getting reputation with any new faction to get an item. But to have all the work in reputation gained with a current faction wiped out, is kind of frustrating. Exspecailly when there isn't that much in place to do. Personally the more i think about this expansion is just taking gains away from us, to get us to sync more time into the game. I really do not feel like i'm going to a huge benefit from this for atleast three to four weeks.
