Out of curiosity, what size TV do you guys game on?
Also, if you consider yourself good PvP how close do you sit to it??
I'm currently using a 51" LED 1080p and sit about 11-12 feet away but I've found that if I sit closer 5-7 feet I do exponentially better while playing PvP. I'm assuming it's because I can see the smallest details like someone jumping in the distance etc and I can aim much better and be more precise with head shots.
So I bought a 65" LED on Black Friday, I'm hoping my experience improves and I do even better at PvP when it gets delivered.
Let me know what you guys are using!
Edit: I exaggerated the distance a bit, it's farther than I thought so I changed it to be correct.
Op, please add this to your post
Fun Fact : the bigger your tv, the harder it is to aim and the longer it takes for your brain to process the giant image.
I have a 42-inch 3D VIZIO. 42 inches is the perfect TV size for video games.
-
42" LG 1080
-
1 Reply40" TV. About 4 inches away. So it feels like an IMAX screen basically.
-
47" LG Smart Led Cinema 3D gubbins. It's shit compared to the 50" LG 3D Plasma I had before it died.
-
65" 4k. Cool but not the best choice for gaming as it has significant input lag. I bought it for home theatre I just got the ps4 after years without gaming
-
32" toshiba LCD
-
Projector 84" screen sit 6 feet away a bit too close I know
-
50" Sony Bravia
-
48" it sits about 5 feet away. I tried playing on my 72" tv upstairs but that's way to big for me to game on.

1 Reply100" LED 8k resolution

32" Sony W7 Love it. 48" Samsung downstairs. Sony looks better.

Edited by jerkcore: 12/7/2014 2:33:34 PM32". I sit maybe 6 ft away regardless of what I'm playing. I only sit further back if I'm watching tv/movies.

Yeah, I play on a 50 something, but can't sit the ideal distance. Prolly switching to my 32" vizio so I can get proper. But I find the same problems. Also, being too far away you actually lose a fair amount of detail. When I move in I'm like "oh wow, the graphics are killer!"

2 Replies42" Samsung which is dedicated to my xbox only, no one can use it but me, Ohhhh Im so selfish :)

Edited by Kdregg: 12/7/2014 2:30:46 PMI play on old 37inch LG.. I have a problem playing on bigger screens, the motions makes me sea sick..and I think that if the guns and in game items are super sized it looks / feels weird..

3 RepliesI'm playing on a 27" LED Monitor with a 2ms response time. Most ideal thing for gaming. You're looking for a good response time, not screen size.

60 " led full hd samsung

can't remember the exact size, but it's a smaller screen. used to have an old 40" Phillips from the late 90s but it wasn't doing my eyes any good on long stretches. it's not the size of it, it's how you use it!

Edited by Brokenspade: 12/7/2014 2:09:02 PMI painted my elderly neighbor's house white for him. Because the windowless side of his house faces my living room and is closeish. Like, i supplied the paint and did the painting & everything. To this day he has no idea I use it with my HD projecter to play videogames after dark :) When the weather sucks 47' and about 8ft away

55" Sony Bravia HX850. Love it.
-
24" benq

Yeah I wouldn't say having a bigger screen is a better idea for pvp. For pve maybe it's desirable. But in pvp you want to process the entire image as quickly as possible with little to no eye travel.

1 Reply42" and I play about 4-5 feet away.
