Legendaries are not going to disappear with the update. And no primaries are dropping with the initial raid. I can't imagine that the new weapons are going to be so much better AND easy to get that we l throw away our legend arise the first day.

You are missing something here. All vendors are going to start selling higher lvl legendary weapons which are going to make all current legendaries obsolete apart from elemental damage type. That is the issue here.

No I understand and I will be happy to get whatever new weapons I can get. But I understand you will have to earn commendations to get your hands on those new legendaries, so excuse me if I don't rush out and dismantle my upgraded Arc Timepiece, solar VoC, fully upgraded Thorn, TLW, Truth, Timurs Lash with third eye, void Perun's Fire, etc just yet. ;^)

By all means keep all your current gear. I will certainly be keeping them. However, what I'm saying is that, most of us will definitely switch over and prefer the new weapons as they are more powerful, therefore, Imho, it's not a big deal :)
