My question. What is bungie's stance or reasoning behind on wiping and releveling "vanilla" exotics? To me, it seems like just adding on a few extra damage nodes once upgraded would have made everyone happy. Gun still would need to be leveled, so now one is just being given extra damage without some effort. Perks and time/effort already put into gun isnt lost, others and my self happy. Only people I see upset with this way, are people who dont get a "vanilla" exotic till after dark below. But its not an argument that really makes sense to me since both partys are leveling the guns the same amount. Bungie has done some quick changes and some have taken awhile, so if this were to be changed I know it wouldn't well after the 9th and most likely after others and myself have already upgraded and re leveled those guns I still believe this would be the best solution and make everybody happy. Thanks for reading. P.S "vanilla" exotic = exotics from the main game, pre dlc weapons.

  • I would like nodes instead of a reset of my weapons. I have worked long hours to level my gear and don't appreciate having everyone on the same playing field if they don't do the same amount of effort. Bad decision, fix it.

  • The only reason they have for making you relevel guns is to artificially extend the life of destiny.
