How to keep a 2 + K/D easily
Okay so I started a new character to test my theory and ran a few games yesterday. Here's the steps.
Step 1: Equip a scout rifle and machine gun and get good at aiming (Auto rifles are bad since nerf)
Step 2 : Always camp near the heavy ammo box.
Step 3: Pick off the easy players who keep running at you like mindless drones.
Step 4: Save your super power for the players who eventually get to your precious ammo box.
Step 5: Sip some coffee while the opposite team rages.
Step 6: Once you die (and you will) rinse and repeat, but never run into battle.
Step 7: If you get a 5 kill streak + at the start of a game without dying then quit the game and you will have a 5 K/d for that game
Step 8: This game is easy.

Edit: I wreck people at a close distance with my scout rifle and I always beat someone who has an auto rifle so the auto rifles have been nerfed way to harshly imo.

My highest K/D is a 2.8, my lowest ever was a .33, for me it really depends on the time of day. Whenever I'm real tired I tend to suck a$$. But if I'm awake and alert I do alright.

Haha auto rifles are bad since nerf??? I love my VOC, but I would put my shadow price against any of your scout rifles any day

Whenever I kill someone using FR/jump shotgun Combo I tea bag the crap out them for using it.

how I keep a 2+ k/d - avoid closed spaces - watch the [b][i]RADAR[/i][/b].. - keep my sniper reloaded - look at your screen towards where players have died - if you find yourself fighting a big group by yourself use a grenade 2 out of 3 times two or more players will back up and there's always one hero that gets taken out and the rest fall like flies.

I think the best strategy is to just make sure you kill 2 people before you die. Simple.

Quiting a game doesnt help your kd. Its total kills and deaths. Just because its 5 for that game means nothing but a +5 in the kill colum. Just stay in the game and kill more. Quiting justs wastes time you could spend adding more plus' to the kill colum.

1 ReplyThe best part about this is the "get good at aiming" line. Honestly, I'm not trying to troll, that just seems a little self explanatory when it comes to any shooter. Step 1: Get really good at this game. Step 3: Profit! ;)

Most of my 5+ kd matches were from the use of grenades and the voc.

Ive had a 19+ KD running around and killing people. Its not play style that matters its the player themselves

High k/d is fine, whatever. I average about 1.8 running around, helping my teammates, and playing the objective in control. I get really irritated when people flip spawns in control or make no effort to go near a control point.

So you're a dash boarder? You realize that's a scrub cod tactic right? Moreover, that won't do anything for your combat rating and dtr score. K/d is not the defining statistic in the crucible.

All the people saying they don't care about K/D. Just like collecting trophies in games, K/D is personal achievement and some people like to challenge themselves on games and aim [i]high[/i].

Scout rifles were always the best. Used them since the alpha.

I don't care about KD but it's nice to know when your getting -blam!-ed in the arse so much that it's time to think about how your playing

I honestly just run around with my voidwalker and my overpowered Comedian(Hammerforged and Rangefinder lol) and my Last Word. I know that combination doesn't take skill but it's fun and I only do Crucible for fun and bounties.

lol........im trying to ignore my k/d, it ruins games for me if im thinking about it to much, not saying im going to be a kamakaze maniac, but not getting worked up by getting a 1.08 kd during a game......
