This guy apparently has been living at his parents house for most of his life because he has amazing game ideas that he is working on. He clearly has a better system than any other game out there so I'm pretty excited to hear about his next release. What was the name of your game again...?

Yes this is the 10 year plan and it is same basic plan that any mmorpg game takes. Tough if you dont like it.. then stop playing for it is not going to be changed or stopped because you dont like it. The Vog will be for players still needing the gear to do Crota, Crota for the House of Winter and so forth. So yes they still will have reason and yes players will still do them for newer toons or newer players and yes there are still new players coming in to the game. So no they will not be obsolete at all. No you could not stop now and come back later and be on top in a few weeks for your gear now would be practially useless and it would take time to level up to get the new gear and level it up. So no they are not just replacing content, it is how all mmo;s are. WoW is exactly like this in how it did on its expansions.. guess you never played many mmo;s before.

You do realize that you just described every loot based game right? People (most) don't just play through the story on borderlands once and trade it in. They play it again, and again trying to farm for legendary weapons, and shields... Then more are released and you do it again. And again. Until the next game comes out. It's the addictive desire to get the next best weapon or piece of gear that these games are built around. Is this game without flaw? Absolutely not. There is most certainly a lack of content. That content is what distracts you from realizing you're doing the same things over and over. RNG CAN BE A REAL PAIN IN THE ASS, and demoralizing at times. I've put a lot of time into this game. Most of which I enjoyed. A lot. I keep coming back to it. Because the addictive desire to get the next best thing works. Sometimes I wish I had more things to do that would get me the next best thing, as there are a lot of times where I finish the daily/bounties and am left wondering what should I do now... But I enjoy this game. It will only get more content with time. There's no shame with reaching your limit of enjoyment with a game. If you have, trade it in and move on. Simple as that.

I finally got a legendary speeder from playing the raid, and a week or two later a friend of mine who just started playing Destiny had a better one he got in the expansion pack. I wouldn't mind new levels and having to level up new weapons if newbies had to go through the same grinding I went through to get where I am, but with vendors selling level 30 gear I feel like a fool for playing this game since day one.

The only thing that bugs me is the fact the don't just add new damage/defense slots to our existing raid weapons and exotic gear/weapons, what's the point of leveling them up now? Pretty much nothing :P gonna miss my VoC

All the exotics gained after 12/9 will be the upgraded versions. There actually isnt enough content for them to get rid of our old ones and have us focus on just the new. Some twit over at bungie thought that in order to keep us playing we can spend our time leveling stuff we just leveled. He probably got a promotion. Wait until you spend the money and shard to update a weapon and xur sells the updated version the following week. The butthurt will flow through the forums like wild fire

The one thing that really prevents Destiny from being an MMO is the amount of people that can be in the same area. Aside from that, it is very much an MMO though one that lacks depth and scope. So yes, when an Expansion/DLC comes out, previous gear is often made obsolete and you have to re-grind. If you don't like doing the same thing over and over again only to have your progress somewhat wiped out at some point, then you might as well quit now. That's typically how MMO's get replay value out of content. That all said, what concerns me is Vault of Glass. In most MMO's when new content comes out, the old content is only somewhat left behind. Newer players still have to run it to get gear from it so they can move on. But with the new vendor legendaries being better than raid gear, why would people do VoG? I know the devs said that people will do it because it's fun but to me that just sounds like they didn't really think it through properly and thus didn't have a better answer.

You've got to be some kind of stupid to think the game won't change and evolve over the next 10 years.
