Im out of the loop here. But what is going on with the legendary weapons?

new legendary items are coming, higher level missions are coming. Our existing legendaries will probably not cut it in these new levels.....so it might be time to say good bye to some of our favourite legendary items

Nothing. They stay the same. New legendary gear with higher stats are coming.
