So xur is selling exotic shards now???
What's the difference between exotic shards and ascendant shards??? Could do with lots more ascendant shards...

You need one exotic shard for ranking up the final upgrade in every exotic. The last upgrade consist of an exotic shard, glimmer and materials (no ascendents).
