Upon realising that my exchanged exotics base defence and attack values are the same as the old maxed ones i no longer mind the re-grinding.
But deej your communication skills need work. If you give clear, elaborate and exact info in your updates and patch notes a lot of outrage stemmed from confusion and misinformation will be circumvented.
The ONLY reason i made this realization was the pic of the exhanged thorn with a base (not upgraded) attack of 302. I did not get this info from anything you said.
See the problem?

I noticed that and it is better, but an exotic is just a legendary if it doesnt have the perks.
-
True. Yeah you gotta unlock the perks again but it starts out with better than it used to be.
-
Didn't realise this, thanks for pointing this out. But does this mean that if you get a new Exotic after next week, will it start at this level, or do you have the upgrade first before you can start on the new damage path.
-
When you get the new exotic it starts at 302 attack and maxs at around 323.
-
Therefore, you are better off purchasing a new one, (if available) and breaking down the old one. If you still get ascendant materials, then it will cost you 3 coins extra than upgrading your existing Exotic. (which will cost 14 in total for the two Exotic shards).
