Why is upgrading more expensive than re-buying and sharding the existing weapon?!
Seriously:
Let's do the math on IceBreaker:
Upgrade path: 22 coins, 7000 glimmer!
1 - existing weapon (7 coins if you shard it, 8 if you have it maxed and get a telemetry)
2 - exotic shard (another 7 coins)
3 - another exotic shard (ANOTHER 7 coins)
4 - telemetry to upgrade (another coin)
5 - 7,000 glimmer
Re-buy: 17-18 coins, 0 glimmer!
1 - 17 strange coins to re-buy
2 - exotic shard is FREE from dismantling the old weapon.
3 - telemetry has a CHANCE of being FREE from dismantling an old MAXED weapon.
4 - 0 glimmer.
It's a MINIMUM 4 COINS CHEAPER TO JUST RE-BUY! AND NO, BECAUSE THE CHANCE TO UPGRADE IS JUST AS MUCH RNG AS XUR'S MAIN INVENTORY, THOSE 4 COINS ARE NOT THE "BYPASS RNGESUS FEE!"
If you go with a primary weapon, you save ONE strange coin upgrading rather than re-buying.
ONE STRANGE COIN IS WORTH 7000 GLIMMER?
