#1 theme of all the responses together excluding some outliers is players are realizing they don't want to play the game, as much as Bungie thinks players want to play the game. In fact, people that have already invested to have decent weapons/armor to be able to competently play Raid, Nightfall, or Iron Banner (or whatever they actually do enjoy playing), did all those lame bounties and story missions and patrols and whatever other lame grind content (over and over repetitiously) as a penance to get their weapons upgraded just to be able to play what they do want to play. Majority of the people that have already paid their dues of playing your lame bounties and other such content just to upgrade their weapons for the content they do like playing, have absolutely no interest in going through that time suck grind again. I think some people in the Bungie game design team need to have their employment status reset. I am sure they will find employment by the F2P crap game design market that tries to monetize players hating some part of the game design enough to pay $ to avoid it.
F2P crap game design market that tries to monetize players hating some part of the game design enough to pay $ to avoid it
An impressive summary of that market segment. The fact that it survives should be a testament to just how awful entertainment options are for the 50% of the populace with an IQ over 100. If you ever want to have some real fun, watch films and tv shows dating from 1978 to 1996 and compare them to films today. Even with the dated references and terrible special effects they're still more intellectually stimulating, more funny, and have more involving plot arcs than the best on offer from that time forward. The greedy figured out they didn't have to pay good writers to hook enough of the lowest common denominator to make a profit, and that was the beginning of decades of torture for those capable of walking and chewing gum at the same time.

 • I am sure I avoid more than 99.9% of all TV/Movie content that gets released. I am much more into gaming for my digital entertainment consumption. I just don't have time for TV/Movie. That said, there are some true gems that are more recent than past TV/Movie stuff. I think Breaking Bad for instance was exceptional. I also find Hannibal to be a very good show. Some shows raise the bar, and then you find others kind of pointless. Same is true for games, but more on gameplay and quality of the sandbox or things like graphics/sound than writing. To your point, Terminator and T2 - Judgement Day better than any "action" movie released in recent memory, including any of the non James Cameron Terminators.
