My only issue is that someone with 0 experience on an exotic can upgrade it to have 302 (or whatever) attack. While I (and many others) have played the game since the start levelling our guns from 260 - 274 - 283 -293 - 300 and would be happy to do whatever you wanted in order to get to 302-310-320 (or whatever the ratings are) It seems both unfair and not very logical. What happens if I find a Suros in the next few weeks (I never got this exotic) I see no reason for me to level the item as you think you would, I would rather just leave it in my vault and wait for Xur then go straight to 302. I know you are trying to appeal to 'new' and casual players by offering them ways to level up quickly but seriously it is both disrespectful to your existing players and also just bad mechanics. It could be fixed so simply - Make the upgrades only available once you have a weapon at 300 attack. And for the record I am a casual gamer - Destiny is the only game I play (my Ps4 was collecting dust) I really love the game but with the current exotic system I feel like my time playing has just been a waste (apart from the raid and weeklies). I compare what you are doing to these scenarios. Even as much as working your way up to a certain position in a company and feeling really proud when you get there. The bosses son starts the next day and instantly gets promoted to your level. Instantly you feel like the company disregards the time and effort and loyalty you have shown to work your way up and it feels like shit - sometimes enough to quit the company. People waiting outside a Nike store for their favourite pair of Jordans to be released. There are some people in line that have been Jordan fans and have waited outside the shop (camping out) for every new release for the last few years. But because Jordan want to appeal to new people, the people without Jordans can skip the line that the original customers have been waiting in and get the same pair of shoes.
