I totally agree with your post, but this is the reality regarding your points:
1. Not going to happen because bungie wants you to grind and doesn't give a flying -blam!- about the players.

I don't think it helps to be negative about it; the last few updates that Bungie has worked hard on have been really great. Adding opt-in chat, giving Exotics some great buffs, adding new options for material farming, more Bounty slots, and not to mention an excellent Iron Banner experience. These guys are gamers just like us and they care about making their game into something great. But sometimes bad ideas happen. Sometimes it's easy to think something would be a great game feature without really recognizing the consequences it would have on all players. That's why it's up to us, the dedicated community, to give quick, honest, and constructive criticisms so that they know. I'm just glad we're having this conversation BEFORE the DLC dropped. At the moment, they have a chance to fix it before we're even affected by it, which is hopeful. So stay positive (but still concerned and critical); I'm glad Bungie opened this forum for feedback and I think they'll really consider it.

We would have had a chance (which I still doubt very much) if they had said anything about this more than a couple of days before it goes live. No matter what we say or how loud we shout it, this patch will go live and they won't change anything about it. Granted, they might do something about it in the future, but -blam!-ing your players over and over and then fixing some minor things later is not the way to go. There's a reason they ONLY reply to posts on the forum that are either about something extremely positive about destiny or in the help section. They don't care (probably pushed by Activision) and will only change what THEY think is ok.
