You right, Prestige mode keeps everything equal as Destiny's exotic reset gives you a lower weapon... At first. You're gear does have a higher potential though. Think about it , if CoD offered you the option to start over and inflict less damage at first with .75% of damage inflicted, but promise that you'd be 1.25% stronger, people would jump at the opportunity to outgun someone else. A lot of people are ignoring the fact your guns get stronger now. They don't stay weak as long as you put time into them like you did when you got them. I don't like the reset either, but that's the way the game is headed right now, so that's how I'm going to play it until a better solution is found. There is a good side to the bad presented.
