I disagree Din, most other MMO types "build" off what you've done. Not strip them and restart. Symantecs? Perhaps, but there is something 'not right' with resetting my stuff to zero and starting from scratch.
Adding a new column for upgrades with a new upgrade path - and keeping it as it was. Better - now 'mechanics' within the game might be the same - but player progression/accomplishment/immersion is also important and this busts all the others.
Not to mention the changes to materials and upgrades like a week ago - THEN coming out with this. Just flat out badly done.

Your opinion is noted. I haven't played all MMOs so I am sure there are some which will completely disprove my opinion. The most time I spent in an MMO was wow. I know one of the biggest grinds was getting extra bank space to hold all my old armour sets! They were useless but I liked to keep them.

You cant "horde" crucible or vanguard points! There is a 200 point cap????

I'm looking forward to the new campaign missions and strike, but honestly the whole grind thing and releveling my current exotics does not have me excited about the Dark Below. Granted, I didn't go out and dismantle any "extra" exotics for shards, because I've gotten into the habit of staying away from Destiny for about 2 days after a patch due to network issues and other PSN bugs that usually follow a patch. We'll see what happens next week. I hope they are listening to us.
