After running VOG a LOT (on 3 characters) I have a good collection of weapons (where are you stupid vex!?) and I shared them between my characters so I didn't have to switch weapons all the time. I have leveled these weapons up.. why? [b]because i spend more time playing the game [/b] instead of wasting time switching characters & weapons. So how do I feel about the new weapons announcements? [b] I feel extremely cheated and It`s extremely disappointing[/b]. more so because I decided to buy the expansion after the recent changes thinking this was finally going in the right direction. But it`s too late to do anything now, the announcement comes in a few days before the DLC and you already have my money.I can`t get the DLC reimbursed and its too late. In one swift stroke you managed to tell your most devoted players that all the work they put in getting weapons and leveling them up in the last weeks was for nothing. Now I understand expansions in games like WoW make old gear obsolete, but these are spread over a year, not 3 months. Of ALL the options that were in front of your Designers in terms of weapon upgrades what you announced is probably the worst options. [u]The only benefit of your change is to YOU because it means players need to play more to level up all their gear.[/u] It`s only artificial life. I can`t help but think some of yours are simply narrow-minded or just extremely stubborn. [b]So what else could you do? Here`s some suggestions:[/b] - Only max lvl exotics can be upgraded (or exotics with everything but last bubble) - Add extra bubbles of levels to bring the exotic to a lvl 32 weapon - Ok reset the experience but do not lose the perks from the exotics when it`s reset. Do not lose light levels, do not lose the sense of power these items bring (suddenly losing 2 light levels screws you out of doing nightfalls or heroics in post-DLC) - If an exotics is already maxed out: - Give back the shard when you upgrade it OR - Don`t need to pay an extra shard when you reached the ''new'' last bubble since you already paid one - reimburse the experience and give thew new upgraded exotics some bubbles already filled (like a 2to1 ratio or something) - Reimburse the mats/glimmer used in the upgrades As for Legendaries I was honestly hoping that the new weapons would also be lvl 300 so that the ones we have dont become obsolete so quickly. Your game has more to do with which guns you like to play with than which class, and I have guns I truly love (like VoC) that I want to keep using. Having them at lvl 300 would make give players more options. Otherwise I would gladly upgrade my legendaries, but not in the same way you announced for the exotics. Will there be some test servers so you guys can work with the community ahead of updates and changes instead of fighting fires all the time? This cycle cannot go on for 10 years....
