You're misconstrewing the reason people are upset. It's not a case of handholding for the old playersit's the opposite. The game is less than 3 months old and they're already catering to groups not even playing the game yet. All this has done is made it approachable to people who haven't played it yet. I'd be fine with that entirely myself, except now I'm being penalized for having played since September. I've wasted many materials, scrapped weapons that had no use, and blew many items and boosters to prepare my gear for future content only to be told now that I've gotta do it again. Lemme ask you this, if Bungie had told us that we'd have to redo all our exotics back when we started 3 months later would you have spent as much time doing so? It's almost an underhanded tactic at this point, if you think about it. I'm a long time fan of bungie, even if this is the stripped down version of it, so I'm here for the long haul. But this is the kind of thing that needs to be adressed and made known because it really is unfair to the majority.
