It's pretty obvious that devs didn't sit down in a meeting and write on a dry erase board, "How can we screw over our fanbase?" and then go to town on ideas. The changes coming are designed to help give the game more depth, more balance, and to help restore the value to maxed out exotic and legendary weapons. Frankly, they've been too easy to get. And they haven't all felt that powerful. They took note of that feedback and are making changes to compensate. Good for them. But people resist change, even good change. Just because it's going to mess up the system they've got going right now. I, and many other players, welcome the changes knowing they're well informed and well needed. Looking forward to the next chapter of Destiny, eager to jump into it in just a few more days.
