FF14 had a similar issue for people to make team , although not as a big issue as destiny because there was a ingame chat window and tons of players in the world with you , but square listen to the player feedback and added PARTY FINDER, its a awesome feature and helped alot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thUIIaCHpGI party finder feature was successfully proven to work for much harder and complex raids than VOG is if bungie listened to us or atleast learned from other good mmo games, they would add something like that , im tired having to waste hours on forums just to play the game , the game is lacking all social features , so it shouldnt be even called MMO at this point
