I am not a fan of it, to be honest. Some of us just recently upgraded our Exotics after the last update and we're essentially being punished for it. Actually, anybody who has upgraded Exotics is pretty much being punished. The only acceptable reason I see behind this is that the upgrade will change the weapons completely in terms of various perk trees. But even then, completely (or eve4n partially) upgraded weapons should be given credit towards the new upgrade. Asking everyone to start over is not really fair to those of us who have put in the work. It simply makes little sense to punish your most loyal players.
