"we want everyone to tell stories of how they got their Exotic guns" - Bungie. once upon a time, there was a Hunter, a brave, noble and fearless Hunter, who fought the evil that dwells within the Black Garden, this Hunter was there fighting off oracles while the Templar succumbed to our cheesing. This Hunter Was there when Atheon fell, and the Vault of Glass was conquered (on hard!) The Hunter was famous, known throughout the tower for his heroic deeds. he had it all; Glimmer, Marks, Power and Fame. but despite all this, there was only one thing, in the whole galaxy, that this Hunter Truly desired. not a child to carry his name, nor a woman to love.. but a weapon.. HAWKMOON It's Chrome barrel, long and thick, glistened in the sun, a beautiful engraving from muzzle to chamber, with a single black fang under the grip. it was the most beautiful gun that this Hunter had ever seen. he wanted it, and he would fight Oryx himself for a chance at it. this Hunter also had a Brother, a Warlock no less, who begrudgingly helped a fireteam conquer Phogoth in the summoning pits on a Nightfall Strike. "What gifts do you bear for me oh great RNGsus? for I have slain this monster, and expect the spoils of war"! a few seconds later a bright light shone into the room, bearing a silhouette of a Hand Cannon. he lifted the Iron from the light, and was astounded "OH MY TRAVELLER! IT'S THE HAWKMOON! I GOT A HAWKMOON! he exclaimed. he flaunted the gun to his older Hunter brother, who was happy for him, but jealous all the same. after the Warlock was killed attempting to pimp-slap Atheon, the Hunter mourned for days, but then he looked in his vault, and saw it there; his Hawkmoon, gleaming as if freshly polished, as always. in memory of his brother, the Hunter vowed to bear the Hawkmoon on his belt until his dying day. he took it everywhere he went, slaying hundreds and thousands of dark creatures with but one well placed shot to the cranium. he upgraded it, and it grew even more powerful. the two were inseparable; an unstoppable force on the battlefield. one day, the Hunter was about to max his Hawkmoon to full potential, but then he logged onto bungie.net, and saw how the new upgrade system would work. tears filled his eyes, anger and hate flowed through his veins. as quick as lightning, he stuck his Knife in his computer screen in anger, picked up his Cloak, and left. no one knows if he ever upgraded it, but one thing was for sure..
he wouldn't be buying the Expansion.
