On top of that, it costs 2 shards...1 to get the new weapon. 1 to max it.
That's crazy. If the precious one was maxed, it shouldn't require a shard to get the new version.

If you haven't upgraded it, its better since you don't waste that shard to get the 300 damage mark

I think Xur wont upgrade anything that isn't already upgraded to its fullest. Correct me if I read that wrong.

Its already been confirmed that your weapon does not need to be fully leveled. And there is no comp for all that time and material you invested.
