With the new article on GameInformer Bungie has revealed their plan for our Exotic weapons. They plan on making it so if you want to level your Exotic weapons and gear up to the new level you have to completely wipe out ALL progress on the gear, require 7,000 glimmer, an exotic shard, and Xur's RNG system. Now I don't know about you guys but this is completely and totally unacceptable. I have spent several days playtime leveling up my gear and weapons and being forced to level them all up again is just insane and I refuse. I would absolutely rather look for another gaming experience and quit Destiny than be forced to go through all my hard earned progress again. Now you may or may not agree with that part, but surely many of you agree that having to start all over on your weapons and armor is just stupid. Please show your support and tell Bungie that we do not agree and we would like if they changed or removed this system.
Thank you.

Edited by DramasEnd: 12/5/2014 8:21:53 PMSo you want your current items to just be Buffed to have higher statistics/level for nothing? What Bungie is doing here is something that MMOs just dont do. They're offering you an opportunity to NOT have to throw out your old weapons / gear for what will be available in the new higher level content. They're offering you a way to keep your stuff cos new, better stuff is gonna drop in duh game.....They are extending relevancy to your current loadouts and you guys are flipping on them for doing something completely positive for you.

From how i understand that, Bungie is saying that you do NOT have to wipe all your exotics. You can keep them all fully upgraded to the level they currently are. However, IF you want to upgrade them further to achieve a weapon with even more damage, then you do have to start from scratch with that weapon. All is therefore not lost and you can happily carry on doing nothing but bounties and playing crucible and the occasional raid once the new dlc comes out. Cause goodness knows there won't be anything else for you to do since you're reluctant to upgrade your exotics any further. Might as well go out and buy that new game and play it while the rest of us who still like the game try to re-upgrade our weapons and gear to be even more powerful than before.

Your title does not mean what you think it means. You should either say "conside removing..." or "reconsider exotic..."

2 RepliesMan U guys just gotta be lucky u get too upgrade ur exotics all mmos make new gear and the old stuff is junked
-
Hate to tell you it won't change. They release this info a week before they add it. They have no intention of changing anything. Their idea is so new players don't feel under powered if they are just joining. They're using the mentality of any phone app developer.
-
5 RepliesYou really don't understand. It's a way to remain competitive. If you want to go into the lvl 32 raid with a gun that's maxed out at only 300, the. Good luck. This is typical of mmo's
-
No, it's good that they will wipe the exotics. The game as it is now, is way to fast and easy( and the drop is gonna increase.) So for destiny to live longer than january, it's good with these changes.
-
2 RepliesGUYS, how about instead of freaking out about gear, lets freak out about the game being incomplete. Where did this go? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwOUi4JDC4o&feature=youtu.be

1 Replysounds like you have a choice in the matter. to wipe it and upgrade or to leave it as is with your current work also if you have an unupgraded duplicate you dont have to erase the "hardwork" you put in and just start fresh by choosing to power up that one.
-
Wow, another biased poll.
-
Your weapon level does not reset when you go to upgrade your weapon it goes to 302 then you've got to redo weapon tree. Stop crying we all know you were gonna keep playing anyway.
-
2 RepliesThis has a horrible bias
-
You guys aren't reading right. They specifically wrote in the weekly update and Dark Below preview that you will KEEP the 300 attack stat, but start a new upgrade tree to get it up to 323 or whatever the new cap is.
-
3 RepliesBungie's updates gradually reveal who truly enjoys this game still...
-
1 ReplyIts not really a wipe, your stuff starts out as powerful as it was before the change, then goes higher.
-
2 RepliesCan you add a 3rd option on your vote 'I don't care either way" I think a lot of people don't care, I only use a few exotic weapons on a regular basis anyways, the rest sit unmoved in the top of my stash

3 RepliesIt's not going to wipe It's a choice
-
Lol wow 75% lazy gamers
-
6 RepliesLazy ass people.. You'll grind all the way to 30 doing raids, leveling all the gear, and THIS one day mission is too much for you to get a stronger weapon? My god PRAYERS
-
Enough, seriously. Go take a nap or something. You making a thread about this just makes the whole situation brew to even higher levels and on top of that most of the community is made up of people like you who just throw a trantrum. At least you get keep your exotics and at least you have a choice to reset them.
-
So the expansion is exactly what people expected. More bounties. GG Bungie killing your game one update at a time.
-
They should either scrap it or make it such that all exotics must be maxed before being reset/upgraded. Fair for everyone.
-
They need to make it so that a fully leveled exotic gives you some levels when you upgrade, preferably half, but if not half then at least some. As it stands the system is ridiculous. it makes all the time I put into leveling an exotic worthless because now my nearly maxed Bad Juju will be on the same footing as my brand new Plan C. It's ridiculous. I appreciate removing ascendants from exotics, that was a good move, this wipe is a bad move though.
-
8 RepliesNobody is forcing you. Feel free to keep your exotics as they are. I'm planning to upgrade my exotics one at a time. I'm sure they'll remain competitive at their present levels until I get around to boosting them.

Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 10/10, will cry again with next update. *This Community*
