You have to think of it like this; People just hearing about this game or people just trying to get started after the DLC was released. Are they supposed to just be completely screwed? Sorry no need to buy destiny if you haven't been maxing gear and weapons the first few month. There is literally no way they can compete with people like "let's use me as an example" I've spent months maxing out machine guns, rockets, snipers, autos, scouts hand cannons, shottys and fusion rifles of each damage type. Imagine just purchasing destiny on December 9th for the first time. Your looking at players weapons and gear and dying to catch up to the original players. You ask one for advice "How'd you get that ghorn or that suros or that thunderlord"? Your answer: " bought it from Xur on week 1" "He probably will never sell it again". "I have a friend got it on his 600th tiger strike" If everything stayed the way it is (Which I like) new players would most likely quit. They can't ever hope to catch up with someone who already has 500+ hours on the game. I have tons of maxed out shit myself. If those weapons served me perfectly the rest of the game (Dlcs included) I really wouldn't ever need to strive for new weapons. With the arsenal I have now I should be able to beat the next "10 years" of promised content this week. You've got 10 bounty slots and most of us have 3 characters. You should be able to upgrade a new level 32 exotic weapons in less than a day. And my next point is exotics are still overrated. Besides ghorn and icebreaker in pve. Most of the time I'm not even using an exotic weapon. My legendaries take preference. My legendary Hide and seek beats exotic invective. My 42 round shadow price beats Suros. My fricken legendary fatebringer beats hawk moon and thorn (Barely) (I got a shadow price with field scout from the nightfall and it is one spot away from being max upgraded) I almost maxed it in 24 hours, and if I didn't have a bitching ass girlfriend who hates this game, I would have had it maxed within a few hours of receiving it Armor? You can keep your level 30 exotic armor. Why not upgrade it to 32 so it's still competitive? Even if it means upgrading again? You can buy materials for almost nothing and your bouties with have them leveled up in no time at all. It's not that bad for us really. This was bungies point at giving us 10 bounty slots and purchasable materials. To not piss the original fans off but letting them get back to boss status very quickly.

SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!! No one is making you upgrade them. If you don't want to put in the time to upgrade your old exotic weapons, then don't do it. It really is that simple. But I guess half the community is composed of crybabies, so I guess I shouldn't expect anything else. Grow up little bitches

No because your a crying kid also a tool, nothing wrong with the reset if you know how to play the game, if your like this kid that thinks because he's played 300 hours thinking it took all them hours to rank up your guns then your wrong to, hour in the game are your choice, it took x amount of hours to collect said guns n armour, only takes 2 days to level a gun

Signed. Time is the issue. Not how difficult or easy it will be to re-level the exotics, not weapon relevancy and not whether this is good for the long haul. No one can get the time back it took to level said weapons and armor. There has to be some form of compensation for time lost needlessly leveling the exotic gear. All materials should be returned that were put into said leveling once an exotic is sold to Xur for a replacement. And what about the thousands of enemy kills that must be repeated to regain the exp? If you're not angry about this you're cattle!

It's your choice if you want to or not, bungie isn't forcing you. Also, the maxed exotics can hold you through the content in the dlc. Just upgrade the new exotics, and leave the other ones be. You don't "HAVE" to do any thing. It's your destiny play it the way you want to.

Also get your facts straight pal, Bungie did state that yes we will have to restart but the weapons an gear will be more powerful, an your whining about this. First: why are you comparing a video game to Ferguson? Second: how many of the exotics do you guys actually use? Third: why are you guys crying so much? Don't buy the dlc! It's just a video game! If you didn't put your life into it you would be fine. Get some sun! I have only 1 exotic weapon and I'm probably better than most of you in this thread! Get at me!

I use 1 of my 16 exotic weapons, Gjallarhorn. I have no problem restarting it
