Petition: Please sign acknowledging the BS of exotic gun progression reset!
Edit 1: this link here is not factual information but makes you wonder. Is your time spent in this game wasted by trying to level up gear and subclasses?
The tower is turning into Ferguson. New exotic pitchfork that you'll need an exotic shard for which we will reset after you have it maxed when the Wolves DLC drops....
I have 18 exotics most of which are maxed out. Who in their right mind is going to grind out that many bounties and materials to max them out again?!?! After you guys do that the new DLC will drop and you will have to do it all over again. What a joy!!! I feel sorry for the people who have maxed out more exotics than I have.

Beyond starting at a higher power, exotics are going to take less time and materials to upgrade. The only point I might agree is that one shard is required to upgrade, and then another for the final bubble. And xur and exotic breakdown are how to acquire. Which leads me to my point...xur charges a little too much for shards maybe...and it's a bit of speculation of a point you might not have been trying to make...

1 ReplyThey clearly said when you perform the reset your gun will start higher than lv 300 and level up faster than normal. This is no different than a person wearing maxed out lv 29 legendaries only to dismantle them once they achieve full lv 30 raid gear. You should be thanking bungie. They were nice enough to allow your exotics to remain useful through out destiny. At the cost of 1 exotic shard. I have 8 of em. And 108 coins to buy more.

The only thing being "reset" is the perks when you upgrade your exotics. Their starting damage increases to 302, so all of the work you put into getting them to 300 is technically still there. Exotics are also going to level up a lot faster than they used to, so don't expect it to take nearly as long as they do now.

4 RepliesGood news. Bungie just cancelled the whole exotic upgrade idea. So we get to keep our exotics as is. No more being pseudo forced to upgrade a thing. They realized giving us the opportunity to re-roll our favorite weapons to be able to use them in the new dlc was a major slap in the face. Crisis averted.

Its not a progression reset.... As soon as you upgrade it its has more damage and they said it will require less exp and less mats to upgrade... Quit crying nub

Most MMO require you to work to 50 to get the best gear. New expansion comes out and max level is 60 and have to work hard again to get that new gear. This is the same shit.

Now Can anyone tell me of a game where you use the same gun you picked up at the beginning to beat end game content? We've been doing this within one game for year's but because this is in a expansion there's a massive kick off?

Exotics level way faster than before, No ascendant materials are necessary and planetary mats can be easily purchased. 1-2 days max to relevel one. That's not that bad.

They will start at 300 attack but perks will be reset and updated, and it will not require as much experience as before to max them out.
