To all fellow guardians,
Please watch out for PSN: kermitTHEfrog
I have a friend on ps4 who has a couple of higher level characters and has been playing since the game came out. He was nice enough to show me a lot of what I now, know how to do in the game as a result. His gf also plays destiny. She has slaved for months since day zero doing the daily grind, day in and day out farmed all the materials to get her warlock to level 30. I haven't even gotten to 30 and I've been playing for months. She also did it the real way not by buying the materials using marks but by farming them spending HOURS...
She was at the tower a few days ago when a fellow level 30 (kermitTHEfrog) sent her a message complimenting her raid gear and mentioned how he had never used the Gjallahorn before. He asked if she wanted to raid with him and his group. After joining the party, he was very sincere and nice complimenting her warlock. She had a lot of my buddy's exotics on her character as well. He asked her is she would be nice enough to SHAREPLAY... She said of course thinking everything would be fine and they would raid together after...
Boy was she wrong....
The most horrifying thing that could ever happen to any fellow guardian was about to happen....
This mother -blam!-er kermitTHEfrog DELETED my friends gf's LEVEL 30 warlock in front of her eyes and she could do nothing about it.
In the time it took for him to log in to shareplay, and go straight to deleting the character she couldn't react fast enough.
I am writing this because last night I had a nightmare after hearing this story that my guardian was erased from existence. Laugh if you want but imagine spending all that time on something and it being ripped away from you without warning because you did something out of the goodness in your heart.
-blam!- you, mother -blam!-ing kermitTHEfrog
It's mother -blam!-ers like you who make people not want to SHAREPLAY w strangers
Bungie please help out my friend's gf get her stuff back and ban kermitTHEfrog
My gamer tag is PSN: Xx4LeafMafia20xX for his privacy please contact me if you need details on this tragedy. My friend has share play history and can show you, that the story I am telling you is true...
Thanks for reading...
Tread carefully but carry a big stick...

So many people claim Kermit is an adult that deceived a child. Maybe I missed it or everyone really is just assuming this but where does it say Kermit is an adult? I don't have PSN so I can't look his profile up there but I don't remember seeing Kermit's age anywhere. So unless someone knows this guys personal info already it's safe to assume this CHILD DECEIVING ADULT could actually just be another 11 year old child that got bored with playing destiny and decided to screw with people right? Bungie is cleverly using this video to mask the fact that another weekly update came out and no fixes to anything we've been screaming about for months are here. Of course they don't seem to have to much problem with what Kermit did. They advertised what he did (which he's most likely sitting back and laughing about) but never acted on their right to deny access of destiny to Kermit's profile. He's still playing. Still trying to trick people. Due to the publicity there's probably more people like Kermit now doing the same thing. Bored as shit sitting in the tower trying to find raid partners. Boredom is one of the most destructive things in mankind.

It's his own fault seriously now come on.

Well don't share play and it won't happen it's that's simple, everyone should know NEVER trust anyone....I don't care who they are don't trust them only trust yourself! I do feel bad for her though that's totally messed up and I can imagine several things I would do to said person regardless of age if that happened to me! Homie don't play that game! Kid should be banned like no other though because that's some sick ass game and you know he feels like god for doing it so let's bring him down a few levels and make him cry :)
BNGHelp4 Please note, we will not replace or restore missing gear, items, or characters
That is different to what bungie is saying in the media about this issue; "it's possible Destiny's developer, Bungie, might be able to restore Cuckooknight's characters and items" Or is it when they say "possible" they mean technically ... but also mean that they just won;t be ?!? Or does this only happen if players go to the press with their issues ??

This needs to reach more PSN players.

Why would you ever give your credentials to some random person you just met? I'm sorry but your buddy's girlfriend is quite stupid and she just learned a good lesson for life.

I wonder if this girl who lost her characters to Kermit also got a fate of all fools?
-
Shareplay sounds stupid af anyways pointless feature
-
Don't be a fuctard and share your account with a stranger -blam!-tards
-
Wasnt his nickname not kirmitthefrog?
-
Its a -blam!-ing game. If it was a social security or credit card, then yeah its a problem. Stupid actions bring stupid results. Simple life lesson.
-
I would just like to say after much thought and meditation, I'm glad her characters got deleted. The thought that you should be reimbursed for handing over your stuff to a stranger is ignorant. Please everyone cry more for a stupid girl that is lucky she only lost bits and not credit or capital.
-
Wow! I would be completely devastated if all my characters that are 32 were deleted before my eyes. I guess I can only be thankful for a couple things: 1. I have an Xbox so there isn't a PlayShare feature. 2. I'm not a complete idiot who gives up control of their account to a complete and total stranger. Phew! Am I right?!

A gamer tag with multiple X's and a pot reference. Never seen one of those before. Yes, I'm aware my gamer tag has an x but it's used a space between my first and last name, I'm not a fan of underscores.

Just for future regards when you are share playing all you have to do is click the ps button and it stops them go to the party and shut it off report and block the kid.
-
Know why I would like to see....... The hackers getting hacked
-
Wow! This was last year that this was posted.
-
Just one more thing I learned from years of playing MMOs. You never share your account in any way. If you where playing world of Warcraft you wouldn't give someone your log in information because at that point they can go in change your pass words and delete your characters and so on. Kremit or what ever his name is yes it was -blamed- up thing to do but in the end it was her fault.
-
As an oblivious Xbox player, I feel the need to ask: why can't you override shareplay when someone's on your game? Ya know, see someone deleting your gear, red bar is halfway completed... No worries! Hit some button to instantly override shareplay and regain control of it.
-
DYNAMICskills7 did the same thing to me but instead we did not gameshare no he managers to get my details from a mysterious place called hacking
-
What an asshole...I'm sorry to hear all of that happening..paybacks a bitch he's guna get it..if she needs help my psn is Rawr_Tony my husband and I play hit me up ill help with anything.
-
Remember this when using share play, if you start seeing something fishy then quickly tap the PS button to bring up the xmb and take them away from your game.
-
I am offering my help if you need it so please feel free to hit me up.
