How to defeat the Templar now?
My raid team has only ever pushed it off the platform. How do you beat the Templar now that you can't?

Kill him. Relic super takes his shield down temporarily.

5 RepliesIf you have someone in your fire team who knows how to get back up to the top, run the oracles the way you normally do assuming your team camps up top with icebreakers when the encounter is done have everyone stay at the same spots besides the relic dude. Have him get the relic back up top. From there you can see all oracles and all the Templars teleport points. Then just proceed to F him up.

You're probably one of the players who has a Mythoclast and level 30 without ever beating the raid completely legit, huh?

Kill oracle and enemy's till the relic super is charged, then shoot the super at the Templar (at this point shield bubbles are going to form around you so be careful with supers/ rockets) unload on him till he teleports, lather rinse repeat...there is also a way to keep him from teleporting by standing in 2 areas but I can't think of how to describe them to you so I hope I was helpful :D good luck!

The person with the Relic needs to use the Relic Super on the Templars shield. Once you hit him with it, the shield will drop and you can shoot him. After a few moments he will try to teleport (the location he is going to teleport to is indicated by a circle with a light in the middle), you can prevent him from teleporting by having a Guardian stand inside that circle. After he teleports his shield will regenerate, and the Relic Holder will need to fire another Super at it to bring it down again. You will also need to kill Oracles, otherwise you will get marked all the time. If you don't want to kill Oracles then your team can remain bunched up the entire fight, and the Relic Holder can cleanse regularly, but this means he will be allowed to teleport. Rinse and repeat until he is dead. NOTE: You will ONLY get the hidden chest if you defeat him without allowing him to Teleport AT ALL.

The wireframe of the fight is: Destroy oracles Kill harpies Bring down templar shield Maximize damage output time by using relic right after finishing oracles. A good positioning method is to group to the back right stairs. Ignore the oracles on the opposite side that you may be unable to see and just cleanse it. Two big reasons for this group method is that it allows for easy cleanse and there's two easy chokepoints for harpies.

Simply put, you shoot his shield with the relic super. His shield then drops, you shoot him till he teleports, and shoot any oracles that spawn. Once the relic holder's super is up again he drops the templars shield, everyone attack and so on till the Templar dies.
