My raid team has only ever pushed it off the platform. How do you beat the Templar now that you can't?

I was waiting for the day to come when people had no idea how to beat the Templar the right way. I guess that day is here.
-
We had one guy stay down with the relic and everyone else was up on the entrance platform killing oracles and burying the Templar with bullets/rockets, incredibly effective.
-
Turns out you can still push him. If you google templar post patch cheese and the first vid shows the push. Granted they hit enrage and it might be quicker to kill him normal.
-
Find a place to hole up. Tell the relic guy to shoot the special AT the Templar. Fill the Templar with bullets/rockets/pinecones/rubble/etc. Repeat until dead. Care for harpies and minotaurs if you get to enrage
-
Bullets. I've tested it, and the seem to be one of his few weaknesses
-
What we did is we stayed down the stairs because its still a good spot to stay away from enemies and his attacks the dude with the shield would run around killing harpies within safe distance to get his super faster (to try to avoid getting enraged)... then he would he had his super and we would all run real quick into position and unload ..also if we got marked mid fight we made a designated cleanse point at the bottom of the stairs where we would run back to cleanse just in case
-
Stand around were the center conflux would spawn and shoot everything and use relic super on templar. If you try to teleport to the right or left of you stand in his circle to stop him

7 RepliesSorry if someone has already posted this method. It has always worked for me.. - Everyone stands at the back of the map (i.e opposite side of where you come in), all close to the relic holder. Plenty of cover behind the various pillars. - Relic holder can hit Templar in all his locations from the back (either go left, right or centre). Everyone heavies and snipes the shizzle outta him. - Forget the oracles unless they are immediately accessible and just have relic holder cleanse. Job done. But no 5th chest if you want the ascendant material. Peace x
-
You can't. The darkness won. This is the end of days. Push has failed us.
-
Edited by OG MUDBONE PhD: 12/2/2014 3:10:50 PMPost up where the right conflux is. Harpies spawn there and the oracles mostly spawn in that area. The relic holder can bash all the harpies to get super faster, and the Templar never goes over there.
-
You poor, poor soul. Are you trying to do the Normal Raid? If you're on XBox just add me I'll run you through the normal with my guys and teach you everything the proper way.
-
Lol, WHAT THE ACTUAL #!/^!!!! You must have got the game (as well as your "team") a good while after the game released? Google will be your friend heh.
-
We usually just have everyone with ice breaker stay on the up platform and have a designated relic holder & anyone without ice breaker go down and pop his shield kill harpies and other enemies, but when the templar's shield is down everyone directs shooting to the templar. Shoot his teleport ring until it breaks if you'd like to get the no teleport chest, but it will probably take longer
-
New faster cheese for scrubs like you. Thank me later.

8 RepliesIt's like the Gatekeeper fight. The Relic holder hits the Templar with his super. That removes the Templar's shield, and allows you to shoot at him. He fires back and attempts to teleport away. Meanwhile You also have to fight oracles, harpies and minotaurs. If you miss the oracle the team has to gather back together and cleanse. Rinse-and-repeat until the Templar is dead. Most teams that play this straight generally have the Relic holder bashing the harpies while the rest of the Fire Team shoots at the Templar and takes out any Oracles and Minotaurs.

1 ReplyI'll just put this quote up here for the people making fun of the OP.
This is valid and deserves no aggression toward OP because to many teams you find refuse to beat him properly, only one have I found a team who sought to defeat him properly
Honestly, if you were unlucky with the randoms you play with it is unlikely you will have a chance to kill Templar legit. Always a losing battle sometimes. Good on those who gave advice.
-
2 RepliesI did a thread on this, it went A new Hard Templar tactic (well think it's new anyway lol) 2 warlocks jump down after the raid group finish oracles, one grabs the relic while the other acts as support for the adds down there. People at the top snipe the oracles so no cleanse needed and use Gjallarhorns to quickly take down the boss. Works well
-
Edited by JefferyPG: 12/2/2014 2:27:11 PMWhy do you need to shoot him... ...WHEN I CAN JUST BEAT HIM WITH ME SHOE!!!
-
Templar new cheese 1) stay up and snipe after shield is down, must kill oracles. 2) go to the push off area and do it by taking down his shield.
-
6 RepliesOne word: "Gjallarhorn "
-
The legit way?
-
Shoot it.
-
Find another cheesing method
-
Have 6 defender titans with that ability that drops orbs when the shield takes damage, 2 at a time block the teleports another two help funnel harpies to the relic holder while remaining relatively close to the teleport to switch out. Praetorians will come to ruin everything.
