Do the daily and a public event every day, you'll max out on Sunday for vanguard.
Edit: if you won't play pvp what the hell do you do with all those crucible marks anyway?
At a certain point, everything you can buy from the vanguard and crucible vendors becomes totally useless except for shards and energies which is now also useless.

Well, 5 of the 7 vendors that sell legendary gear do it only via Crucible marks.. so there's that...

Shards and energies is right, but also it was an easy bonus way of levelling weapons in town whilst simultaneously clearing surplus materials.

Who needs vanguard marks anymore? I've already purchased what I wanted from the vanguard stock. If I could trade marks between characters that might at least be something to encourage me to finally create my third character / Titan.
