Who has actually has beaten the Templar without cheesing
I'm actually curious if there are very many of us that actually know how to do it and have done it.
Didn't think i was gonna get all these replies. So yes they have patched us cheesing the templar and yes I've never completed the templar legit(not pushing off) because of my group always wanting to cheese.
So I'm kind of excited to finally strategize in my own personal experience a new part of the game for me. I am a Hunter and held the relic for the cheesing you have no idea how bad i wanted to blast him with my super out of nowhere!! Haha
Edit - Just did it properly and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Pretty hectic

I beat it without cheesing from the right conflux area. It's not that hard if you have good communication and maxed weapons.

Im not sure how many times ive beaten templar but at least four times this week. You need people who have maxed guns, know how to shoot oracles (not difficult) and weapons of light helps. Shouldn't take more than five minutes with the right people

Had a friend solo it on hard. My friend and I were two manning it and I died. So he went on to beat it. He got nothing while I got fatebringer. RNG at its finest.

I did it ligit my first few raids and since the patch

It not hard to beat him the regular way. We all just push him off cause it saves time and is easier to get the chest without him teleporting

I've done him the legit way on normal, but on hard mode my group just stood at the spawn place, while someone jumped down, took the relic, killed harpies, took down his shield, and took care of the hidden left oracle, everyone else killed oracles, and shot at templar when his shield went down.

I'd never beaten him legit until they took cheesing off the table. This week was my first time doing it properly and I'm actually glad they fixed it. It's a really fun fight. It reminded me a lot of the challenge and coordination of a WoW raid but with frantic FPS gunplay. He's a lot more fun than Atheon IMO. Would've missed out on the high point of the raid had they not patched it.

Best way is to have two titans play off of eachother to have a shield up in his teleport spot, and two people at the other spot standing where he can't hit them. Break the shield and shoot like crazy

Beaten it 4 times without cheesing, 3 if you count hobgoblin platforms as cheesing.

Done it a few times now, found that a similar strat of spreading out down in the arena works well Just got to have decent communication and dps and it's not that hard

1 ReplySend a guy down to guard the reluc runner, other 4 stay up and shoot at the oracles from previous oracle shooting spots

I've played the raid 2 times (played til atheon then had to leave, played one complete time, joined hard raid at gatekeeper checkpoint) each time I've went against the Templar, we've done it legit
