legally blind players need some balenced pvp gameplay too !
Dear Bungie,
I have a request that is seemingly impossible to deal with.
I am legaly blind and pvp in most games is simply unbalenced and barely enjoyable. Those of us
handicapped still enjoy competative play. We do not feel like our needs are met. It is aparent that fair and balenced gameplay is important to the title Destiny. Could your company take some measures to help people with visual disabilities etc. have some enjoyment from pvp? I understand how hard this issue is to deal with . I have suggestions and will continue to brainstorm for possible solutions.
I will offer my sugestions I have thought about so far.
1. additional attention to surround sound proccessing with independent valume controls
2. No radar option.
3. more close quarter stages with playlist options.
4. Radar pop up button (example: TitanFall)
5. Match making Ranking system (if not used already seems like there is not)
6. (xbox one) kinnect facial recognition with special pvp ranks for those handicapped.
If people with special needs proved and registered with a unified server login for pvp, requlation and monitoring could be done seperetly with harsh punishment for breaking rules. Perma band would work for me. If you had people that tried to troll something like this would generate additional money for you.

So I just spent an hour in pvp and felt level of anger that is worthy of a true injustice. For those of that are even reading, I am betting some are thinking I am just complaining again. Why don't I play another game or perhaps not bother with pvp. Why don't you ? Whatever reasons you come up in part we most likely share. There is a lot in RL things we can not just as there is for a lot of people regardless of impairment. Games give us a means of escape or perhaps capability of doing something we otherwise could not. I know visually impaired people playing shooting is odd but we are not completely blind but we are reminded all the time that we are not fully sighted. This issue may be for the minority, in the end the majority would benefit from it.

I understand that for sure it's what is happening to me and other like me a lot of the time in most things. So I ask you to really look at what I am seeking Exactly how would it break your game ? I am not trying to be rude by any means I just feel some are saying things with out thinking clearly

3 RepliesFor those who dont know. Legally blind is a term used by the government to deteine whether someone can recieve government support or not. Its also used to determine if someone is allowed to drive or not. If someone cannot be corrected with glasses or contact lenses up to 20/200 with their best eye then they are considered legally blind. Obviiusly they can still see. It can also mean that someone cant see through a field of 180°. I myself am legally blind and can only see well through one eye so my field of vison is highly limited. I agree that it makes it difficult to play video games, but theres not alot to do about it.

5 RepliesI dont know where to go with this. Im not going to read the whole post. Tell me how blind you are...all the way or do you have horrible eye site type of deal? If you are fully blind...then Im not sure why you would put yourself through the frustration of trying to play games. Any video game. Your disabilty is unfortunate. If you have very bad eye site then your best bet is some kind of color highlight where your opponents are more bright so your eyes can distinguish them better?

5 RepliesI don't know man. Don't wanna invalidate your post at all but I'm not really sure exactly what you'd want done. Maybe I'm just misreading something but for example I'm almost completely deaf. I'm a candidate for cochlear implants in both ears but haven't gone that far yet. With my hearing aides I can hear but not nearly in the detail that I could when I had perfect hearing. I cannot hear another player's fusion rifle charging. I can make it out when I'm charging one but I also know I'm charging it and can pinpoint the sound it makes easier because of that. In pve, when music starts playing I can't make any sense of the sounds of the game. Enemies are sneaking up on me like crazy lol. I just deal with it I guess but sight is the primary sense for [u]video[/u] gaming unfortunately...... I dunno what do you do man? Do they make special screens? Do you have one? Maybe there's some equipment outside your screen and game system that could help you? Hope you figure it out. Otherwise good troll lol

2 RepliesI feel for you, I really do, and I pray that they find a balance for you, but I feel that if these changes were implemented broad-scale, it would completely throw off the game's balance for those not wanting to play that game type. I would love to see them create a playlist, however, designed to help those such as yourself, and with other functional disabilities to be on the same level with others. You deserve to enjoy it too, and I hope Bungie takes this to heart.

Suggestion: go play pvp with friends, in real life, playing chess or checkers. If my game starts lagging because your brail-touchy-screen-reader thing is taking a while to 'render' I'd lose it

I would like to thank everyone who has given this enough attention to chime in. It's very apparent that people do not want an unbalanced game experience. The thought of some having an advantage over others is unacceptable. I was expecting these numbers to show this. Think of it like this the frustration some of you feel when a player cheats or exploits is kinda what people in my situation deal with all the time. I understand it's a very difficult issue and with out a company really taking interest in this it will never be address completely. I just want to thank everyone again for their time and efforts. The changes in modes, sound and gui talked about here could offer some help.

3 RepliesIm sorry you have to deal with these issues, I can't imagine the difficulty. That being said, I'm not sure how much they could incorporate into the game without it dramatically affecting the playability of those non visually impaired. What system are you on? I see you haven't raided much... If you ever want help getting through and seeing how it works, or need help with daily strikes and missions, send me a friend request. I'd really enjoy making the game more enjoyable for you and opening up some of the aspects of the game you may have problems with.

LOL no one knows that PS4 has a "kinect", its called PS Eye and the little light behind the controller its not only for looks, it is used so that the "eye" can see and recognize were you are...

4 Replies... I understand the hardships of being legally blind, my father is. But if bungle allows for handicap measures I could not see a way to full proof it. The only way to actually full proof it is to send a prescription or a note from your doctor to bungie. And I can hardly see that from happening. But, additional surround sound and having the ability to choose or vote (depending on what lobby you are in) the map you want (and have these abilities for everyone of course) does seem like a good idea.

1 ReplyIt would never happen buddy im sorry. As a advocate for all disabled, I understand. The only thing i can see is maybe putting legally blind people i their own playlist but that would be impossible to set up and might be looked down upon actually. More power to you though!
