So you hate the Sunsinger class. I understand, no one likes to be caught up in a grenade spam, and that self-revive can be a real bitch if it catches you off-guard (in which case you're dumb - see below). When we're revved up we can get a melee that causes instant death. I've been a part of the debate regarding who's subclass is most OP, and if you've been a part of that conversation then you probably agree that all supers are pretty OP (or else you believe every subclass other than yours is OP, smh). Let me stand up for my burning brethren in this post. First, I want to make this clear - I believe that the Sunsinger's super is as OP as the other classes. I'm not denying the power of two or more Firebolt grenades ripping through your fireteam while you cap a Control point. This is not that post. The Sunsinger subclass catches a huge amount of flak on the forums for their grenade spam. Hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but let me put a thought out there that you may not have considered. All other subclasses in the game have a unique "super ability" that they are unable to use when their super bar is recharging - Golden gun, nova bomb, bubble, fist smash, Blade-dancey-fly-aroundy. Sunsingers rock a fanny-pack full of grenades as their super. Not infused grenades with extra damage output, and not those purple tracking grenades that hunt you down wherever you may go. The same aim-and-lob grenades that we are all using in the Crucible, just in a higher quantity. These grenades can bounce off a wall, stick to a door frame, or be thrown over your target's head or off-map. If you've ever faced a Radiant Sunsinger that looks like he's just floating around after a few grenades are thrown, that's not his Walmart connection, he's waiting 3 seconds for his grenade to recharge, probably mashing his LB sweatily. If he's not shooting at you, approaching for the melee, or looking for some cover while he waits for the blue light to flip on, then he's not playing with skill. Please dome him for me, and prove Darwin is still at work. Hopefully he'll join your subclass soon so he can miss his Golden gun shots, Nova Bomb the ceiling, or (my favorite to see) fist smash right off the map. Or he'll become a Bladedancer and get top score on his team (kidding…g). When you get one-hit by a golden gun, fist-smashed by a titan, nova-bombed, or even blade-danced on, you shrug it off as a part of the Crucible experience. Same with our grenade spam - it may not look like a super, but that's what we were given and that's how we're using it. Alright, I already hear your comments chiming in - [i]what about the self-revive, Briguy? That's a unique super, ha![/i] - Yes, there is a sub-set who choose to use self-revive on their Sunsingers, but currently they're idiots preying on idiots (no offense, lol). What other subclass has their super announced on the kill board? -*Briguy Self-Revives!* He probably waited until you turned your back, so turn around and fusion his ass!- Hell, by the time the cinematic completes, most Sunsingers already have 10-15 headshots into them. I laugh right alongside my Hunter and Titan teammates when I see someone self-revive just to get laid to rest permanently. Until Bungie decides to pull the self-revive announcement from the PvP kill board, self-revive's only unique ability is giving extra points to the opponent. Honestly, I don't care about your opinion. What I do care about is moving this conversation forward and stepping up for the fire-breathers in the room.
