What’s the stupidest way you’ve killed yourself?
I put up a post recently about the fact that even level 30’s can do stupid things. I had so many comments from people saying about the stupid things they’d done, I thought I’d put up a separate post. Here’s just one example of something I’ve done.
I started as a hunter and only had one character for ages. My wife wanted to try Destiny so she started a titan. I was helping her get her level up and went into the crucible to get some bounties. I saw a whole team claiming a zone in control and thought to myself “bingo! I’ve waited a long time to do this. These guys aren’t going to know what hit them”. As I wasn’t experience using a titan, I didn’t realise that if you’re sprinting your special launches you a lot further. I went straight over the top of all of them, smashed down the other side and got shot in the back by all 6 of them :p
edit: I normally try to respond to all of the comments if I put up a post, but there have been so many I'm struggling to keep up. Keep them coming they're priceless. It's nice to see people making fun of themselves, rather than taking the game so seriously

So, I was riding my sparrow beating some Gregs and I jump off the sparrow to start shooting them. The Sparrow starts to go haywire and somehow pulls a u-turn and explodes killing me. It said that Greg killed me with a sparrow.

Trying to push someone of a cliff and ended up falling with them.

I always jump to the back of the middle platform at atheon and lay down weapons of light. Well on hard mode I miscalculated my distance to the edge and fell to my doom... I was laughing so hard when I shouldn't have been

Stupidest way to 'kill yourself'? Easy: Getting hit by any enemy(or friend using a vehicle in crucible), and being flung into a wall so hard, it kills you. What's even more stupid and shitty? It happens all the time to even the best of them. What's even worse? The fact that we all jump/move straight for them every damn time, and end up being flung into something, dying, respawning, and not even learning a single thing from it, destined to repeat it again someday.

Quickscoping with a rocket launcher, and end up shooting the rails on the platform that I'm on...

Tried to golden gun a Titan in his bubble. I fired too early and fired while I was about to enter his bubble. I took all the damage.

Spawned for the Mars strike, got on my sparrow at spawn point and flew right into a tree, sparrow blew up and so did I. Wtf rofl moment.

About 500xp away from 9k xp w/o dying and strike w/o dying, blew up fallen walker on sepiks strike, the turret flew off, hit me, and killed me. I left, turned my ps4 off, went to my room to rethink my life and cry...

1 ReplySoloing the Archon Priest nightfall, I threw a grenade as I was mounting a pike. At this point I thought I was going to be a bad ass flying away on my pike before my grenade blew, the Arc grenade blew up the pike I was speeding by and blew me up.

Was on the moon with the 9k bounty jumped down to kill some hive, hit a rock and died....Despise taking the 9k bounty ever sense.

As a hunter I am an excellent killer. However, my enemies seem to have perfect accuracy because every time I throw a trip mine they shoot it right after I throw, killing me.

Back flipped my sparrow off the first drop coming out of the cave to Templar. I died, someone jumped into the Templar arena restricting my res, randoms I was playing with were like "who died already? WTF!" But after I res'd I came out on top and people were cool

Jumped from one cliff to another on the Archon priest nightfall a couple weeks ago. Definitely looked like i could make it and live. I was wrong, and had to start the nightfall over. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

During nightfall on archon priest, I was under the platform and soloing it and decided to be a bad ass, so I shot a rocket and was to close to a rail and died -_-

Another time I was in the VoG fighting Atheon I had the mark of the void was completely blind yet I still managed to revive a teammate and kill a minotaur before walking off a ledge

the venus crucible map, both jumped met in middle of the cliff/fall near control B. we met like directly face front and then fell straight downwards together lol i really wish i had a ps4 to record this

I zoned into the Templar room my first time in a raid. Stepped forward and off a cliff as the fight started, didn't realize it was there... I looked like a total tool I can only imagine what these people id never played with were thinking :-\

Was under fire on bastion, tossed a trip mine grendae, and a bullet immediate detonated it and I got my dick blown off

1 solo nighfall, throw grenade under fire only to have it blow up in face and die. 2 jumping clear over a platform only to fall to death. 3 stick a tripmine to enemy face only to be met with a swift death from said tripmine

Threw an axion bolt at a guy, blinked towards, him, killed him with my Melee, and was killed by my own bolt. Good times.
