What’s the stupidest way you’ve killed yourself?
I put up a post recently about the fact that even level 30’s can do stupid things. I had so many comments from people saying about the stupid things they’d done, I thought I’d put up a separate post. Here’s just one example of something I’ve done.
I started as a hunter and only had one character for ages. My wife wanted to try Destiny so she started a titan. I was helping her get her level up and went into the crucible to get some bounties. I saw a whole team claiming a zone in control and thought to myself “bingo! I’ve waited a long time to do this. These guys aren’t going to know what hit them”. As I wasn’t experience using a titan, I didn’t realise that if you’re sprinting your special launches you a lot further. I went straight over the top of all of them, smashed down the other side and got shot in the back by all 6 of them :p
edit: I normally try to respond to all of the comments if I put up a post, but there have been so many I'm struggling to keep up. Keep them coming they're priceless. It's nice to see people making fun of themselves, rather than taking the game so seriously

Hard raid, first conflux phase, I'm covering the right tunnel. Go to throw a trip mine at the same moment the templar turns his attention to me and his fire detonates the grenade in my face. Still hearing about that one from my raid group.

LOL while doing the nightfall with a friend we had septics prime to one more shot with a rocket launcher. I went to finish him off and was shot to death leaving my only fire team member to finish him off. He exclaims "bro! I have one more rocket!" I say "finish him". He pulls out the rocket and says "take this *****". He ended up shooting the top part of the cover he was hiding behind and blew himself up. time to start over!

Threw a trip mine at the wall and a supplicant detonated it and I died the supplicant survived. /fp

I think yesterday was a great example of stupid. I was running patrols and using trip mines with my hunter (I enjoy sticking them on enemies). Well for some reasons I shouldn't have been using them yesterday because I blew myself up four times in a row using trip mines in the course of two minutes. You would think I would learn my lesson after the first time....nope had to do it three more...-____- sigh. Needless to say my team doesn't trust me with explosives anymore...

Shot a rocket on an minotaur at the exact same moment a titan did one of is bubbles just next to me.... I was WTF and then saw the bubble around my ghost. We both laughed hard. Happened this afternoon defending conflux on hard and we made it only seconds later.

Wouldn't say it was my most stupid death, but it sure as hell was one of the funnier ones. Was doing Phogoth while farming Tiger strikes, and right as I go to Yolohorn that fat bastard, a Thrall comes flying out of nowhere to take one for the team and blow me up in the process. Needless to say my buddies I was running with tbagged me for 28 seconds before reviving me.

Just this morning i was doing hard raid and I got teleported.Once we were coming out I made the jump towards the back of the mid platform. I used my ward of dawn and fell too my death I was lmao

Add all 30 I went into a raid helping lower lvl players, like lvl 24 and 25 guardians. We were working the Confluxes and we the legions came we went to jump in the cave and I couldn't get in. I kept jumping and bouncing off the wall haha and instead of being smart and moving around a pillar to regen, I kept trying and trying to get in until they killed me. It was sad I was the only lvl thirty and I died before anyone else that raid.

Was collecting helium in the beginning portion of the moon. I went into the room with the servitor in and began to engage the enemy. I threw a trip mine down to hopefully blow one of those mother -blam!-ers up. I finished clearing the room and went to jump off the ramp and move to the back room to see if a chest was there. I completely forgot that I threw the trip mine down and as I was in mid air, directly over the trip mine, it blew up. The blast went straight through my ass hole coming out of my mouth permanently leaving a blood spot on the ceiling of the room. Dumbest thing I've ever done. F%#$ my life, s%#@ on my face.

After 1st chest in raid and jumping down. Missed the hovering block (first stupid thing) fell to my death but got stuck on the cliff and can't get back up so kill myself and use my super, spawn in the exact same place. Rest of team get to next check point without me so I respawn, again down the cliff and die again. Had to go back to orbit fuming

This happened yesterday. I was doing the hard raid and grabbed the relic because I'm a GREAT relic holder. I never died ever unless it was someone else's fault. Untill yesterday. I was on Venus and went to do a super slam on the minotard and superman dived off the side of the world.
