What’s the stupidest way you’ve killed yourself?
I put up a post recently about the fact that even level 30’s can do stupid things. I had so many comments from people saying about the stupid things they’d done, I thought I’d put up a separate post. Here’s just one example of something I’ve done.
I started as a hunter and only had one character for ages. My wife wanted to try Destiny so she started a titan. I was helping her get her level up and went into the crucible to get some bounties. I saw a whole team claiming a zone in control and thought to myself “bingo! I’ve waited a long time to do this. These guys aren’t going to know what hit them”. As I wasn’t experience using a titan, I didn’t realise that if you’re sprinting your special launches you a lot further. I went straight over the top of all of them, smashed down the other side and got shot in the back by all 6 of them :p
edit: I normally try to respond to all of the comments if I put up a post, but there have been so many I'm struggling to keep up. Keep them coming they're priceless. It's nice to see people making fun of themselves, rather than taking the game so seriously

Tried to do my super on Phogath,and pretty much got falcon punched right off the screen. 3 cartwheels ftw.

i threw a tripmine at a hobgoblin in hard raid gatekeepers it stood up and exploded as he stood up my tripmine got aimed tword me and killed me. this has happened multiple times so i stopped using tripmine in pve

Fired my The Last Word into a railing... I died.. I assume the bullet hit the railing and went straight though my skull lol

I was doing the nightfall solo When phogoth was a about to die I shot my steel oracle into a rock as I was strafing to the left and I killed I cried a little that day

I picked up the 9000xp bounty I had around 8800xp and I went to the tower to cash in engrams. I got a little distracted and jumped over the ledge where the ship lands and I fell off killing myself and resetting my bounty.

I was capturing a zone in crucible and my controller went flat (I didn't know) when I had captured it 2 guys run Infront of me and I tryed to shoot and realised my controller was flat xD

I punched one of those glowing exploding cubes before I knew they would explode.. I walked clean off of the map.. Sharp turn with a sparrow it rolled me off of the map.. Sparrow blew up with me on it.. Fell to my death the first time I did the nexus strike.. Fell down an elevator shaft on mars thinking it was a room.. Blown myself up so many times in pve and PvP because people will walk in front of you while shooting a rocket.. (I've gone to machine guns)

I was using Blade Dancer and jumped above Atheon and pressed the trigger and flew off the edge. Lol yep

Warlock blink strike off a crucible map and endt up losing a close match because of it lol

I was driving my sparrow at top speed and i dismounted and got hit by my own sparrow lol

I was using a rocket launcher that I was trying to level up and I was behind some sort of cover. I jump up to shoot over it to shoot a random enemy but I did not time it right and ended up shooting the cover right in front of me. I never know objects in the game can jump just to troll you.

Threw a magnetic grenade at my own bubble shield. Blew up my feets. Twice.

Hopping along the top of the accelerator on the moon, la-dee-da, when I hit the angled interior wall juuuuuuust right. Ricocheted off, slammed into the opposite wall, "Killed by the Architects". Wat

Put up a bubble shield and shot a rocket without thinking I was in a bubble shield. It was on the hard raid and there was 4 people alive so we whipped and we were so close to finishing off atheon

I forgot to pray to Shrek. I wandered into the Forgotten shores but went too far and dies from not turning back. I would have lived if I prayed to Shrek.

Boosted my sparrow off a jump straight into a wall. Didn't know you could blow it up...

Me and my friend got double killed by 1 dreg the dreg killed me on my sparrow the sparrow then sped forward and killed my friend. The dreg then proceeded to double tea bag us
