What’s the stupidest way you’ve killed yourself?
I put up a post recently about the fact that even level 30’s can do stupid things. I had so many comments from people saying about the stupid things they’d done, I thought I’d put up a separate post. Here’s just one example of something I’ve done.
I started as a hunter and only had one character for ages. My wife wanted to try Destiny so she started a titan. I was helping her get her level up and went into the crucible to get some bounties. I saw a whole team claiming a zone in control and thought to myself “bingo! I’ve waited a long time to do this. These guys aren’t going to know what hit them”. As I wasn’t experience using a titan, I didn’t realise that if you’re sprinting your special launches you a lot further. I went straight over the top of all of them, smashed down the other side and got shot in the back by all 6 of them :p
edit: I normally try to respond to all of the comments if I put up a post, but there have been so many I'm struggling to keep up. Keep them coming they're priceless. It's nice to see people making fun of themselves, rather than taking the game so seriously

However, on a healthy first run, just as atheon's health was reaching two jelly shots away from death, we made it out of the last portal we would need. I valiantly glided with the relic to the center platform.... and past it... As I fell to a height lower than even the wipers understand, I realized I had died the most embarrasing death I would ever know. And the relic sat at the bottom of the pit, on top of me and the thousands of cheesed atheon bones. Take two.

Cosmodrome - I'm rushing toward the The Divide (for a public event) coming from the area in The Steppes where the Hive majors spawn underground...I confidently drive my Sparrow right off a cliff as I always think I need to head straight and not veer slightly left. Happens about every other week.

Edited by Swervostan: 11/30/2014 10:38:15 PMI'm a level 30 and once during the raid while I had the relic I accidentally pressed the smash button while jumping to the middle. I flew of the map. Worse part is atheon was almost dead. 2. I landed on my back while on the tumblr and exploded.

One time I was playing the vault with my friends and I was messing around on the tumbler sparrow by the first chest and pushed him off the edge the he kicked me needless to say

It was one of my first control matches,and I blew myself up in front of about 4 of the opposing team members trying to nova bomb the control point... I know they cracked up.

3 RepliesI always forget that large robotic enemies (i.e. Gatekeepers, walkers, hydras) explode, and I tend to like victory dancing; so when I go attempt to dance, they combust, leaving me in ashes..

This week, doing heroic weekly with a friend who is running a defender Titan. We were fighting the wizards in the last wave of unlocking the door when he decided to use his shield while I was about to shoot a rocket towards them. Needless to say my face got blown up and I couldn't understand what was going on cause he didn't warn me and I didn't have a chance to see the bubble go up. We had a good laugh after that lol
