What’s the stupidest way you’ve killed yourself?
I put up a post recently about the fact that even level 30’s can do stupid things. I had so many comments from people saying about the stupid things they’d done, I thought I’d put up a separate post. Here’s just one example of something I’ve done.
I started as a hunter and only had one character for ages. My wife wanted to try Destiny so she started a titan. I was helping her get her level up and went into the crucible to get some bounties. I saw a whole team claiming a zone in control and thought to myself “bingo! I’ve waited a long time to do this. These guys aren’t going to know what hit them”. As I wasn’t experience using a titan, I didn’t realise that if you’re sprinting your special launches you a lot further. I went straight over the top of all of them, smashed down the other side and got shot in the back by all 6 of them :p
edit: I normally try to respond to all of the comments if I put up a post, but there have been so many I'm struggling to keep up. Keep them coming they're priceless. It's nice to see people making fun of themselves, rather than taking the game so seriously

My buddy forgot he was using defender and went in for a FOH kill on a mob. It ended in "guardian down". Best thing ever lol

Cerberus Vae III Mission : Boss fight with Valus T'Fart : Playing as a striker Titan : Harder to kill while supering : I went to rock some DoT damage on the big fella'. Proc'd my super right on him. As expected, he stomps. He sends me flying across the room, blinking with red bar, DIRECTLY into a Phalanx, who for some reasons is already in full shield swinging position, BAM!, and sends my dead corpse FLYING right back at Valus. My only thoughts, "Cabal know baseball?... Looks like I'm out."

Forgetting my shotgun was out of ammo as I approached someone in Crucible .... I was trying to get that one Bounty

Haha I supered with the gunslinger and as you are all aware he/she floats for a sec, well I floated right off the map lol ... Ahhh good times...

Finished Nightfall Without dying, only to jump down from the top ledge to my death before the rewards dropped. No "complete any strike without dying" for me! Second place is when I was lining up 4 opponents in crucible capturing a zone with my maxed Gjallahorn only to fire it the exact moment teammate strafed in front of me to fire his un-leveled Shadow Price at one of them. I died.

For some stupid reason, every time I come back on my sparrow from the mothyards, I turn the wrong way in the steppes, and got of the map into that giant crater by the spawn. Alcohol may have something to do with it.....

I see a lot of conments which describe accidents rather than doing something really stupid. Titan striker has ability for its melee to spread to other enemies. Its also very good at detonating barrels gmbrl. Or phalanxes that manage to hit you much harder than they are supposed to > http://youtu.be/dsw78YZxZWA

Went to the mars/past/red/left side and was using the relic killed the hobgoblins (after taking a shot from them) well one of them was in the middle of using a grenade. I saw the grenade icon right next to me and it didn't click what was about to happen and before you knew it I blew up. The 3 of us that got ported had a good laugh at it and thankfully it was the first port so no real harm done.

I've had quite a few. The worst being when I wanted to clear a room with a nova bomb but instead nova bombed the wall and killed myself (the only super that can cause suicide) but other then that, I was once riding on my Timebreaker, it overloaded and went into flames, jumped off but it drove perfectly into an explosive barrel in front of me and blew up. Yeah I have bad luck with sparrows

I have the clip, I died laughing. but stupidest had to be the confluxes on hard, we had a great run going and I was hiding on top of a pillar during the legions phase. final phase began I jumped off and forgot to jump before I hit the ground and died.

While doing aethon on hardmode and we were doing really well I tried to throw a super all fancy like. Well it completely missed hitting the wall in front of me and the damage knocked me off the edge where I slowly fell to my doom.

Well, we were playing tiger-strikes, we were just infiltrating the summoning pits and got attacked by some wizards and knights so i thought "let's blow them up", I grabbed my rocket launcher and aimed for a knight but when i pulled the trigger my teammate walked right in front of me causing my missile to explode on his back, so right in my face.. Yea I died and flew through the room but it was still funny as hell... Btw, I just wanted to complete a strike without dying..

Threw a tripmine grenade and later walked by it for it to only explode and blinking off the map.

Just happened last weekend: On patrol i was grabbed the sword of corta but somehow glitched into a massive rock while use the sword (it was accidental). I cant get out and cant move, then i just blow up myself with rocket launcher since no other way to kill myself.

I was trolling a phalanx who could'nt kill me by dancing in front of him, punched me with his shield and bam, right in the wall 50 meters away "you're dead" I lol'd so hard.
