1. Select a crucible mode
2. See how many "The best around" and "On the bright side..." medals you have in that mode (I use Destiny's App on my phone)
3. See how many matches you played in that mode (Destinytracker.com)
4. Get a calculator
For example :
I have a total of 154 "The best around" + "On the bright side..." medals earned playing Clash and 447 games played
So 154 x 100 / 447 = 37.45,let's say 37.5%
This means that a bit more often than 1 of 3 times I'm the best out of 12 people, while the average is supposed to be 1 of 12,which means my score is : 37.5 x 12 / 100 = 4.5
So:
Theoretic average score : 1/12
My score : 4.5/12
Best score possible : 12/12
What's yours? You obviously have to make a slightly different calculation if you play Rumble,Skirmish or Salvage.
Share it :D (Yes I was kinda bored)
Edit : This method can't tell you precisely if you're a good or bad PvP player,as many noticed,it only tells you how often you're on top of the leaderboard. However,I find it interesting to know :)

I'll make the math real easy for you, OP. I suck at the Crucible. But then, I don't really like any PvP, so I only go in there when I have to. Because of that, i see no real reason to even try to get any sort of "good" at the Crucible. PvE? I'll do that for days on end. PvP? I feel nauseous.
