EDIT: I made this thread back in November. I am aware there has been updates since. I do not care what you think of this topic anymore, please stop reviving it and let it die.
You are pathetic no skilled scrubs and you ruin the game. You abuse the amount of special ammo on the map and constantly run around with a secondary instead of your primary. I am pretty sure that this was never the intentions of Bungie. It takes absolutely no skill to run around with a shotgun or fusion rifle. Bungie said they nerfed these weapons, and I honestly see no change in the range of these OP noob tools.
Bungie needs to...
1. Limit the amount of special ammo on the maps.
2. Make players lose most if not all of their special ammo upon death.
3. Actually shorten the distance on these weapons.
Now I can't wait to see all the hateful responses from the trolls and all the scrubs out there who wouldn't know how to get a kill without their shotgun or fusion rifle.
Edit: I know this starts off much like a rant and a cry thread with the title. If I wouldn't have been so controversial with the title and the beginning then this thread would have never taken off the way it did. Also, I am not implying to remove the guns, I never said that. I just want their use limited, they are not primary weapons and therefore should not be primarily used. Lastly, I do not want all three suggestions I listed to be implemented, just one of them which I believe would make the game more balanced.

Shotsguns are used by ppl with no skill. Ist isnt hard to run to an Enemy and press R2. No way for aim skill and ttk Release this noobs wont get a 1/0 KD.

2 RepliesI honestly have no probalem with them... So easy to counter. You just have to kill them before they run at you. And if they kill you around a corner then they deserve to kill you because shotguns and fr should have the close quarter advantage (: Git gud xoxo

stop crying if bungie didn't want us using special then they wouldn't have special ammo chests scattered the only thing that upsets me right now are all the closet shotgun noobs that come out with the inferno control mode, the one's that think they're best player in game now that the radar/hud is gone. That's fine if you used them before, but a lot more are using them now strictly because of the hud being removed, those are the noobs, the one's that were scared now puff their chests like some scrub.

I went on a shotgun killing spree last week during Iron Banner because I was confronted with so many rushers/ run-and-gunners. People who'd charge into rooms blindly. Charge around corners blindly. Or start a fight at midrange and then recklessly chase me behind cover only to get a shotgun to the chest. Shotguns take skill to use effectively. The skill and intelligence/cunning to know when they are the best weapon to use in a situation. If you want a game that won't punish you for blindly running-and-gunning, go play CoD or Halo. This game rewards the smart player, not the quickest one.
