The ninjas can't be awake all the time, but yeah, we the members carry no authority, allowing users to just insult. Half the time the post gets reported it stays hidden. And they continue this vicious cycle of spam. It's a game of attrition. And if there is going to be a win, there needs to be an announcement from a higher authority that actually gets their attention. We almost lost the forum yesterday too. It's just not going to stop with simple redirection.
