who's going to buy dragon age inquisition

I don't know if I should buy this game because I never played the dragon age games. Could someone tell me if the series is good and if it's fun?

  • I've actually been hammering multiplayer, I've hardly touched the Campaign yet. Very well made RPG.

    • I played the previous two, and I'm really impressed by this one. I highly recommend it, and if the rest of the game has as much content as my first 24 hours, I may never actually finish the main story before I wither away from old age. One question though: I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing in terms of health and survival, because it seems very different than the other games. So far I've done pretty well with warrior toughness and Mage barriers, but I don't know if there's a certain strategy I should be following to prevent health damage. Any tips?

      • Yeah, this game is enormous, spent first week in multiplayer then couple days ago started campaign. You cannot fathom how much there is to do in this game. They say not to stay in hinterlands, but I am until I can do everything there that doesn't annihilate me, then will move on. Spent over ten hours in staying area and I'm not anywhere close to being halfway done in just the starter zone.

        • I loved Origins, skipped DA2. Thinking about this one. Maybe buy a used copy or wait for price drop.

        • I'm enjoying it. :-) Here's the top three that come to mind: - Content; large areas to explore with believable side-quests and a great deal of variety. - Choice; similar to Mass Effect, with a great deal of moral grey area choices that impact the game world. You can also choose what class you want to play as well as how battles take place (e.g. Can pause at any time to issue orders micromanagement style to all party members, or control only your main character and have the AI handle the rest). - Depth; I am really impressed on the amount of time they spent on making each character's personality unique - every recruitable character that I have met has their own reasons for joining and they will squabble with one another, similar to Baldur's Gate. As you can tell, I am definitely a fan. I recommend checking it out, has a lot of value for the price. If you enjoy RPGs set in a fantasy universe where there are swords, spells and dragons, I think you'll be happy. ;-)

i got it 4 days ago lol... and ya its -blam!-ing great. theres a couple bugs to be expected and not sure if you can find more skill trees but theres advanced ones you get later any ways. plus the first 2 areas at least are -blam!-ing huge i mean skyrim huge. I've got almost 20 hours in and i still have barley touched the main story most of the side quests have a story all there own. and theres the war room i really like that idea, you get 3 main advisers a warrior a rogue and an ambassador, you can send them out on missions to open new area's find rare loots or just earn some cash. its really interesting. you get extra missions from your teamates even. tip for new to Dragon age people dont skip out on nodes (iron ect.. you need them for crafting at least get a large amount before skipping out on them) the only things that bug me so far is the horse seems really unpolished you'll see what i mean when you ride it.... and ...tired and cant remember the other one atm... lol
