So if your aware, IRL the installment of a hair trigger on an semi auto rifle, it enables you to fire as fast as your little finger can squeeze the trigger.
This is not the case in game, hair trigger on the multi tool only let's you shoot through the half pull off your R2 trigger; however due to the guns rate of fire, it makes no change to this Exotic rifle.
Even less change if you've switched R1&R2 .... Actually it makes the perk useless if you've switched those buttons... Wait what's the purpose of hair trigger?

Hair triggers pointless for me. I've put almost 800 hours on my only Ps4 controller on just battlefield 4 and destiny. My right trigger doesn't reset all the way it's always halfway down lol. Might have been an accident buff from destiny though

1 ReplyJust so you know, you are completely wrong... Hair triggers reduce the pressure until the trigger breaks. It has nothing to with how fast the weapon fires. Why not doing a little research before you post this garbage...
-
5 RepliesI was not aware that hair triggers had any affect on the cyclic rate of fire arms.

3 RepliesI think the Mida tool's skills are aimed more towards pvp. The radar being active of course, and the hair trigger. IMO the hair trigger is meant to "fire on the fly" alot faster. As soon as you have the target acquired there is less force needed to react quickly. I don't think it was meant to increase rate of fire, or easier "fanning".

1 ReplyLighter triggers are for accuracy. Not speed.

3 RepliesEdited by x_8-BitZombie_x: 11/21/2014 5:25:09 PMThat's funny, I was always under the impression that installing a hair trigger meant to adjust the trigger mechanism to respond to less pressure. By doing so you can fire faster since the time and effort necessary to pull a trigger half away is less than that of a full trigger pull thus increasing you're effective firing speed; but it doesn't actually change the limitations of the guns firing mechanisms.

3 RepliesEdited by Drking7287: 11/21/2014 5:25:52 PMYou are totally wrong in real life having a hair trigger does exactly the same as it does in the game. A hair trigger mean it will fire with very little depression of the trigger. The expression came from the notion that if a hair touched the trigger it would fire. I have an old ruger single action pistol with a hair trigger. It DOES NOT mean fire as fast as you can pull the trigger bc in real life guns already do that. This perk has nothing to do with fire rate in the game or in real life.
-
I think of hair triggers as a method to make a gun easier to shoot more accurately, not necessarily faster. That's more of a trigger reset modification.
-
7 RepliesIts a fancy way of saying " you only need half pull for it to fire." But if the MIDA truly fired as fast as your trigger finger, the weapon would fire at auto rifle speed and that would be extremely overpowered. I'm guessing the devs just trashed the hair trigger ability entirely because they realized how overpowered it was. After I got the hair trigger perk along time ago, I felt no difference in my MIDA's rate of fire
-
2 RepliesShould be full auto
-
When perk is unlocked, it does fire faster than it did, but compared to, irl it doesn't act/feel the same.
-
1 ReplyIt shoots as fast as you can pull the trigger.
-
1 ReplyWhen the perk is unlocked, it should increase the rate of fire.
-
5 RepliesI can tell a difference. Before I had to hold the trigger all the way down in order for it to fire. Once I got the perk I am able to make two shoots in then I would at one. Now my finger doesn't hurt for playing long periods of time.

4 RepliesOn Xbox, where you actually have TRIGGERS it's a noticable difference
-
don't forget the other parts of that perk with the and light wait a warlock can have the same agility as a hunters maxed agility
-
2 RepliesIt just means you aren't slamming the trigger all the way back to fire. As soon as the controller detects any pressure on the trigger, it fires. Which means that, theoretically, you can be more accurate because you aren't fighting recoil, target movement, your movement, AND keeping the aim point on target because of jerky hand movement. It reminds me of target pistol/rifle snap cap exercises IRL. Unload your weapon of choice, load a snap cap (inert practice round), balance a coin on top of the muzzle end of the barrel, aim, and pull the trigger. If the coin falls off, you're probably jerking while pulling the trigger and your aim will probably be off with live ammo. Note that this exercise doesn't work with Glock pistols, or any firearm with a flat top slide/barrel shroud. Heh.

It's a convenience really. Not a convenience worthy of an exotic perk, but a convenience nonetheless.
-
Bungie is trolling because its an awful gun anyway lol ive had 2 for a while and dont touch them
-
1 ReplyThe hair trigger is not the best part of the exotic perk. The stupid fast movement speed is awesome. Hair trigger is just a bonus.
-
1 ReplyIt doesn't work
-
1 ReplyIs this just an exotic perk? I have never seen on legendary scout rifles and I have a lot of em
-
1 ReplyIts Just more sensitive, doesn't fire any faster, I have it maxed.
-
1 ReplyHair trigger requires makes the trigger more sensitive, it does not make the gun fire any quicker.
-
3 RepliesThe purpose of the hair trigger is to get the first shot in on your enemy... You start shooting at him that much sooner you kill him that much sooner.
