Edited by thefourfoldroot: 11/21/2014 2:04:28 PMYes, although I would prefer it was for glimmer. Better we should be able to farm then trade material with others. If you would rather patrol and grind 30 iron metal for s reward than trust to rng that's fine (no weapons or gear) coins/glimmer only)

Bump for a yes. This is for Spirit bloom, spin metal, helium & relic iron only
Yes but sell for glimmer. After lvl 20 there isn't much use for glimmer.
-
Nah...
-
Bump, because its boring
-
1 ReplyBump, If I will use it is a different question.. but there is always that moment where you need something quickly and you are willing to pay more. Same has to be done with Plasteel plating / sapphire wire. It would be nice to 'sell' it and to 'buy' it from a vendor. I also agree with the guys below that there isn't enough ways to spend glimmer on.

Hell yeh

I'll say no. Farming those materials goes hand in hand with public events, which offers up ascendant upgrade materials. However, I might be willing to spend coins on ascendant materials. There are new economies being released soon, and I predict we might very well see one or all of these changes (plus some radically new things)
Bump for a yes. This is for Spirit bloom, spin metal, helium & relic iron only
Hell yes. Got better raid boots for my Titan couple days ago and I would love nothing more than NOT farm those -blam!-ing materials.
-
1 ReplyBut.... Sapphire Wire D: I need so much since my hunter isn't my main :P I have 800 Hadronic Essences though... For no reason....
-
2 RepliesWish he would sell motes so I could reroll these Iron Banner guns.
-
5 RepliesAgreed, and iv'e unlocked all the upgrades i wanted for the gear i use in pve and pvp(yay), iron banner is here (yay), and finally, yes finally, is actually worth the tittle "weekly event", and i have to griiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiind for hours just to get the mats to compete at the highest level...... Really? grinding for mats is soul destroying and is defo not happy fun times, and before all the apologists start windmilling, no-one cares about your "i did it so does everyone else" attitude i have done enough gringing in this game thankyou very much. I'm also well aware that grinding is used in every game to get better stuff, but you can't tell me your not bored/frustrated about spending hours off raiding or crucible just to enjoy raiding or crucible, it just doesn't make any sense. Rant over.

8 RepliesNo. Those materials are not worth strange coins. They should be sold by a seperate vendor for glimmer

6 RepliesEdited by Mr.Spartan126: 11/21/2014 12:37:04 PMI disagree, I love buzzing around on my sparrow with the radio blaring "Fuel" by Metallica while looking for stuff. It appeals to me.
-
2 RepliesYes! Or marks they are useless when you have everything
-
-
I think this would be ok if the economics were correct (not too stingie like everything else in destiny) Maybe 1 strange coin = 50 mats?
-
No !!! Absolutely not. You are giving Bungie an easy way out of some thing they should have done from the beginning, such as already having a shop to buy materiel's. Currently, there is little to spend Glimmer on, and Bungie added the materiel's farming shit (which was not originally in the game), so we need a shop where we can buy materiel's (those of us that do not want to farm). Also the same shop to sell our green and blue item's, instead of just building and building upon the countless weapon's and armour piece's. So, it is a definite no. Plus Xur is on there up to 2 day's per week.
-
I like this idea as it only gives you a small window to get the Mat's you need, otherwise you go out and farm them. Maybe it would be 25 Mat's for 3 coins?
-
Edited by VTHokies: 11/21/2014 11:50:32 AMNo. They are to easy too farm. I'm not going to waste a coin(s) on mats. Would consider it if he sold ascendant energy or shards.
-
I'm not bothered about those materials being sold, but if he sold Shardas and Energy for coins and/or motes, that would be great. It would mean we could buy an armour piece or weapon from him, then buy a few materials to upgrade it a bit. Even if he could only sell you 6 at a time, that would help.

1 ReplyHe used to, but people found a way to abuse it, just like everything else in this game
