5 RepliesI have this problem all the time. Good thing I know how to fix it Just hit the home button, move your thingy so it highlights the Destiny box, hit the little button on the right, (the one you use to open your inventory in destiny) and go down to quit and hit A. Then just wait about 3 seconds and open up destiny again. Yes, you wi have to choose your character again and stuff but it works.

8 RepliesI was having the same issue on Xbox One and here's what is working for me. You need to quit Destiny so that it starts "fresh". The way you quit a game is to go to the Xbox One dashboard by pressing the Xbox button in the controller. Select Destiny and press the menu button on the controller. A menu will open and one of the options is Quit. Choose Quit and then start Destiny again. It should begin from the static Destiny logo screen then go to the Bungie logo then blue compass screen. Good luck.

4 RepliesI also get this problem. I happens when I first enter the game after having previously been playing. Ala, play Destiny. Turn off XB1 and go to bed. Turn back on later to play more Destiny and hello black screen of nothingness. I resolve it by starting another game and then returning to Destiny.

I had the same problem, read on another forum to load another game so I loaded Forza and then tried Destiny. It works. Hope people read this and its useful for them also.

All the Solutions work! Thank you guys for all your help! I have to say; it is getting extremely tiresome to do a hard reset or alternate games for Destiny to work. Should it really be this way with a Nex Gen System and Game?? Admin please post a permanent fix for this issue. Thank you

1 Replyso its not just me... :/ no solution so far.

Yep, this seems to be happening a lot since the 1.0.3 update. A hard reset fixes it... until next time I try to boot the game. It's getting tiresome to reset the Xbox One every time I want to play. Network tests fine.

2 RepliesHello I had that problem before if you hard reset your xbone it seemed to work for me. To do that you hold the power button until your xbone shuts off then remove the power cord from the wall then press the power button for 10 seconds to ensure all electricity is out then plug it back in and start it up

Well I should have scrolled down and read some more post before I said anything. Inserting another game and putting destiny back in did the trick for me
