Iron Banner 2.0: Levels still don't matter. Why?
What the -blam!- is this shit? That's me, a level 30 Defender being one shotted by a level 25 Hunter in Iron Banner. That same hunter would finish in 2nd place on a team full of 29s and 30s.

1) Do you need help doing math? What is 30 - 25. Is it 3?
2) Do you need help with the definition of "out of your league" and "boss"?
3) Please explain why Level 25's are able to one shot level 30s, with regular weapons (nonheavy) in IB. Would it have been so hard to use a damage dampening function that ceilings at (opponentMaxHealth-%10) for the sake of making light level ACTUALLY matter? Seriously?

1) Yes my shot did not connect and kill the guy. At no point did I claim I wanted people to die when I looked at them because they are a lower level than me. Please feel free to spend precious moments of your life to tell me I missed, as [i]I clearly had no idea.[/i]
2) If the light level damage dropoff curve is so pathetic in IB 2.0 that a decent shot from a non-heavy weapon is still a one-shot despite a huge level gap (>3), then your light level doesn't matter in practice. Only in theory. If it only matters in theory, this is IB 1.0[/b]
3) I typically do patrol mission bounties etc before I log out. I do not do these in my level 30 set because my level 30 set has way too much strength over disc/int thanks to rng. Is it [i]so hard to imagine [/i]that a guy can log off in a not level 30 set and still be level 30 when he wants to?

I was a little sympathetic for you, but after watching that video I came to the realization you're just mad because you missed and that guy is better than you. Level isn't everything, and you shouldn't place all your bets on it.

Oh dear.. you are a dumb one. A fully upgraded weapon will do the same damage to you regardless of the users level.. your advantage as a level 30 is you take significantly less damage from non-upgraded weapons and can survive lower level super attacks.

1 ReplyIt does matter. I ran through a few games of my Lvl 30 against 29s, and I was two shorting almost all of them with my Hawkmoon. They eat my damage like they are asking for it.

Thats because he has fully levelled guns so he can still drop you. You can drop him very quickly though. Every under 26 i come across gets owned.

Hey buddy let's sit down for a moment here. If that video is any indication of your ability; you suck. You had the guy dead to rights with your fusion rifle and you jiggy jiggy jerked your controller to the left and only hit him twice. Your opponent hit you with every round fired from his fusion rifle. The better man won that fight; no doubt about it.

1 ReplyYou got fusion rifled, get over it, the lvl 25 didn't miss a shot and you missed yours, you deserved every bit of that death. Lvl 30 doesn't make you an invincible god on the battlefield, it gives you a slight advantage against lower levels but that's it, and that's how it should be. Don't expect to take all 7 fusion rifle shots to the face and ever survive, regardless of the level. Try to go into iron banner as a 25 then try again as a 30, there is 100% a difference.
