Do you respect Iron Banner Armor as much as Raid armor? Sound off, and explain why.

I would if it cost 7 shards to upgrade.
-
it's just boots and gloves, they can be acquired from the normal raid which is incredibly easy. Helmets on the other hand, actually require skill to get (unless you leeched off of someone).
-
3 RepliesIB gear looks a lot better than raid gear.. i am actually thinking about getting that instead.
-
If I wasn't working for 90% of the IB I think I'd have the armor for lvl 30 ... I want that armour so bad:(
-
You buy this armor by working towards leveling up. Rep may be easy to obtain, but it's more challenging then getting lucky enough in a normal raid to progress to hard, just to roll the dice again.
-
Lol at everyone that will start screaming they earned 30. I agree 30 is 30 and both are earned...you have to have 1 piece of raid gear to be 30 anyway since they only sell 2...and you can only wear one exotic lol. Silly people...this will just make grouping for HM a better experience for those ready to run it. This is great for everyone!
-
Moreso. IB armour definitely took a long time to earn, whereas Raid armour could potentially be earned all in one go from cheesing atheon
-
Doesn't matter 30 is 30.
-
11 RepliesAll of you that got 30 from iron banner are n00bs that should git gud at the game
-
Iron banner takes a lot of team skill to win. Most of my games and have been close ones and if the team isn't pulling their weight (ie afk players) that team will likely lose.

Edited by Nothin But Comfy: 11/21/2014 1:12:07 AMReally no difference to me. I dont get the whiners who cry out about "______ reached 30 this way! He must suck! RNG luck!" My face just goes into full -WAT- mode when I see this. -the more 30s I'll have to raid crotas with, the better ;)
-
Both a pain in the arse to get.
-
1 ReplyIB looks better. Fashion Souls FTW.
-
RNG vs earned through time played regardless of skill level... Need to rethink what respect means.
-
3 RepliesIf getting raid armor wasn't such a crap shoot, I'd say no difference--30 is 30. At least with the IB armor you get the reward for doing the work. How many people on these forums have done the raid a dozen or more times and still haven't gotten that one piece of gear that they need?
-
you have to grind for both so what does it matter
-
RNGesus gave my the raid chest and gloves. IB is going to give me boots in another day or two of rocking (sucking) my 0.5 k/d and hand me level 30 on a plate. So, this has been a great week. While IB is going to take a little grinding, it's easily the most reward/work ratio in this game. Given that the IB rewards are available regardless of skill, just time invested, means they are probably less respectable. That being said, the raid wasn't all that hard either (and I was hella lucky).
-
13 RepliesWhen I see someone with a thorn I naturally tend to respect them an ounce more. Only item in the game that is truly 'earned' (besides the rng required to get the bounty) IMO. May not be difficult for everyone but it was for me lol.
-
Raid.
-
And there you go! More people respect Raid armor than Iron Banner armor!
(And that's how Politicians read and report on opinion polls!)
-
11 RepliesI'd say raid because it requires teamwork, while the iron banner can be solo'd with no real thought process to it.
-
6 RepliesWhereas raid armor is given randomly in a lottery system, you do actually have to work for and earn Iron Banner armor.
-
Respect it as much as gear "earned" by cheaping raid bosses?
-
I've got full raid gear, and the the iron banner gear so like to switch between items, makes no differences really 30 is 30
-
grinding is grinding. the disappointment of not getting anything u need at cp after cp might be harder than always earning in IB. the key word is earning. some get lucky in a few raids, but most dont. i dont think it matters what gets u to 30. at least w IB, if u only need legs and arms, it can be done.
