Gjallahorn Hype. Explain it for me.
I have said Gjallahorn. But honestly, it just sits in my Vault :/
Is it really that good? I don't plan on dismantling it, just an fyi. But if someone could explain the hype, that would be great. Maybe I'd work on maxing it.
EDIT: Thanks for all the replies everybody :D I've bee playing Destiny wrong xD but I'll be sure to Upgrade this gun and the VoC!

Use it man. It destroys. You can destroy a mob of 15 in one shot. And it's a plus in the raid

1 ReplyI am the only one with a Gjallihorn on my team during the raid and I take out around a third of Atheon's health alone. It is a PvE boss killer.

I believe its at least 3x more powerful than any other rocket launcher in the game. If you have good legendary/raid legendary weapons in your primary and secondary weapon slot, you should be rocking out with a Gjallahorn.

You obviously haven't used it fully upgraded against Atheon or on a Nightfall with Solar Burn.

It pretty much one shots Pretorians and instantly clears out huge mobs of vex in the vault. It's too powerful on it's own but you have to remember that it's an exotic and using it limits the choice of other weapons. Personally I don't use it for Atheon, It's expensive to use when the team keeps wiping so save it to finish off Atheon, clear supplicants if they are outside the portal when the team is about to return, emergency oracle destroyer if you get behind and destoying the minotaur in the Venus portal.

It is a great weapon for bosses and will take them out very quickly. I use mine for nighfalls the raid and weekly

Gjallahorn MELTS atheon in times vengeance. You can get him in one cycle with enough Gjallahorners and you don't even really need to aim.

Ill be honest, it isnt the best without upgrading it all, if not most of the way. But when you do upgrade it a lot, omg its by far like the best gun. I can solo the left portal at gatekeeper cp on hard during vog. It is amazing against bosses and you can drain peoples health that have a lot of health. Definitely upgrade and then make an opinion on it. Id rate it 9.8/10, would have perfect score if it wasnt exotic

Almost maxed ghallajhorn does spectacular damage. I use it for nightfall to one shot the captains.

Not only is it a fun name to say, it is one of the best weapons out there. It does crazy damage and looks awesome doing it.

When its maxed out not only do you get damage from impact but that impact creates cluster missles/mines which then track and do more damage. I love it on the nightfall or raid makes quick work of boss or minion. However ive found it subpar on weekly strikes. But i do also feel like i do way less damage on a weekly then a nightfall ( i do account for burn damage) anywho the ghallahorn is a very useful exotic. But u will want to start buying the 5pack heavy ammo from xur if u fall in love with ur rockwt launcher
