Who else thinks that halo reach is the best multiplayer game in the series

Nope it sucked Halo 2-3 had the best

Best campaign maybe, but I hated the multiplayer. My favorite multi was the first, but that's mostly nostalgia. Nothing will beat having 15 of my friends in the same room playing CTF and Slayer.

2 RepliesReach, in my opinion, added so much to the Halo franchise. I would even go so far as to say that it is the best Halo game of all time. Over the course of the last 14 years, I have played every single Halo title. Halo 2's multiplayer was the only multiplayer experience that I missed out on. I thought that Halo 3's multiplayer was fun, but, bland. It just felt like more of Halo 2 with a few new weapons, an equipment system and a graphical update. I did enjoy how colourful the energy weapons were, though.

1 ReplyI have to say I disagree purely from a nostalgia bias. Halo 2 will always be engraved in my memory as the best multiplayer game ever. The fact that there were places to do super jumps that on every map was a spectacular thing. The weapons may not have been that balanced (battle rifle usually beats everything) but you can still get kills with other guns. I think the thing I loved was the player base and the tactics. There were some campers and people who used the noob combo but for the most part you could only really camp with a sniper in a good place, and there was a sort of unwritten rule not to use the noob combo. I may be remembering it differently than it actually was but that is how I remember it. I played a lot of offline multiplayer on it as well.

Go burn in hell

1 ReplyBest campaign

Yes and the best forge
-
I've always heard Halo 2's was the best but I never got to experience it ;-;
-
2 RepliesI love halo 3 multiplayer the most
-
It was pretty bad for me
-
2 RepliesIt definitely wasn't. Bloom handicapped skilled players, armor abilities introduced too many unpredictable and often overpowered variables, and vehicle to weapon balancement was terrible.
-
Same here. Halo 4 is fun, but I always find myself getting bored after 5 games or so.
-
I had the most fun with Reach, I have to admit.
-
Its multiplayer was actually laggy at times. But it was really solid on handling some stress. Some of the player made forge maps certainly had a lot going on, and it did fine.

3 Replies- DMR beats every gun - Health Packs - Sniper Rifle is an anti-everything rifle - Vehicles are made of paper - Sword Block - Shittiest maps in any FPS - Invasion only has 2 maps - DLC never comes up in matchmaking - Multiplayer comprises of 80% Forge maps - Most weapons are useless because the DMR dominates - Banshee is OP - Bloom - Slowest and most boring gameplay of any Halo - Grenades are OP - Armor Lock is a thing - Jet Pack ruins map flow - No ranking system The only thing Reach does right is the UI, Forge, and armor customization.
-
1 ReplyReach was the beginning of the end for Halo multiplayer, in my opinion. 343 ruined the experience when they took over, and those from Bungie who left did so.
-
I do, I really hope they bring reach to Xbox one. It's my favorite multiplayer of any game ever.

Edited by solid stone1993: 11/17/2014 8:57:30 AMReach had the best armor customization by far, and it was fun as hell. But I honestly enjoy halo 4 multiplayer the most out of every halo game. -puts on riot gear- But the armor in halo 4 is just so.... Ugh... I miss looking like a spartan, not a power ranger. Also side note, WTF is up with not being able to mix and match armor in the MCC?! I gotta settle for a full set of crap armor, instead of being able to choose pieces that don't look retarded...

Halo 2 :)

Halo 3 has the best multiplayer

Best Forge, without a doubt. My first time in Forge World was absolutely surreal; I think I still have that map saved somewhere. It's always exciting when you forget that you dropped a neutral respawn point into the ocean during development. Halo 4's Forge is a very close second, however. Much more variety, and the space station templates on Impact? ENDLESS maps, plus they finally added a "delete everything" button, which is better for the pre-made maps.

For custom games? Sure. But Halo 3 had better competitive multiplayer in my humble opinion.
-
Definitely not. Halo 3 for me.

1 ReplySorry bruh halo 4 is just a smooth feeling to it. It just feels right in my opinion
