The only problem I have with males playing female characters is they can never give you a good reason as to why they would play as one.
It's always 'Why not?'
It makes me a little suspicious of the mental condition of a man who gladly parades around like a women with no idea, or not willing to admit why they do it...

So you wouldn't play any game with a female protagonist then? Personally I think that for certain games, or classes of character in games a certain gender is a better fit. I have 2 male and 1 female guardian to fit my idea of what each class is, it's just a personal preference. It's very odd to me that you put such emphasis on this, it's just a game. Controlling a female avatar is not the same as being a transvestite if that's what you're suggesting?
