i'm currently using the Dr. Nope, and while it's firerate is beyond good and evil, it's also a bit of spray 'n pray (even with short fire triggers, it seems that the gun is all over the place)...also it's impact is actually non-existing
especially during the raid, the dr.nope seems very useless to me..especially when killing oracles (unless you are standing right in front of them)
so i thought to buy the shadow price... better range, way better impact...to those of you, who have (or tried) both, is it worth spending 150 vanguard marks for the shadow price?
or should i go for another AR?

Doctor nope was useful before the last patch. After the last patch, they nerfed it into the ground. By nerfed it into the ground I mean almost every single gun including blue and green guns are more useful than the doctor nope. Saying that, yeah, shadow price is obviously a better gun. Every gun is better.

Shadow Price >>>>>> Dr. Spray and Pray

I love Shadow Price, hated Dr. Nope... but I am biased against weapons that have the high fire rate/low impact combo. The biggest issue I have with these weapons is the low stability. Atheon's Epilogue is probably the only high rate/low impact weapon I like because of the perfect balance perk.

I love my Dr. Nope.
-
My Doctor Nope has some great perks on it since I got it randomly from an engram. Increased stability the longer its fired and kills grant damage bonus. I wont replace it for most other guns

2 RepliesEdited by DEZARATH: 11/16/2014 7:25:12 PMI love both. Shadow Price. Pro: Good Fire Rate with excellent impact. Con: it's got a clip that just gets the shield down so you have to get another clip. While that's happening your teammate snakes your kill. Dr. Nope. Pro: Tons of ammo and can eat the face off of bosses. Con: Kicks upwards hard. You have to ride it constantly in order to control it. Horrible at getting those open spots on phalanxes. When you do you still have pray you can snap their helmets off. Winner: Atheons Epilogue. Which sorta feels like a Dr. Nope with laser beams.

In my opinion, shadow price is the best AR I own, I had Suros not long before I got shadow price from a drop, after using it for about ten minuets I dismantled suros for materials, even in PVP if you can aim it'll beat a suros
-
Dr nope, I have 2 shadow prices and they suck, Iv gone to hand cannons and scout rifles until I buy docter nope
-
1 ReplyDr. Nope shreeds in pvp and pve (haven't used in raid but the nightfall) if you go with the perfect balance perk recoil is no worse than shadow price or vanquisher 8 but double the ammo and all auto rifles except suros have terrible impact so don't expect either to really out class the other in the category but dr.nope spits fire like the epiloge so I find it stumbles enemies very quickly. To be clear I have the 4 ARs previously mentioned and I haven't used the shadow or v8 since I got it but that's also cause I enjoy using it more over the others cause the others all feel basically the same but the dr. literally spits fire and fairly accurately up to mid range with prefect balance.

Shadow price is awesome. That said both of mine were rewards from rng, so they have field scout (42 rounds in a clip) better by far then the bought one imo.
-
shadow price is for me the best crucible wepon in the game i do better with it then i do with the TLW/Suros/TDYK
-
1 ReplyUnfortunately the last high rof/low impact ar that is any good seems to be the shingen. All of the equivalent legendary ar's have too much recoil. The shadow price and vanquisher viii are both great and are pretty much the same gun. I'd give the edge to the vanquisher viii just because it has slightly better overall perks.

2 Repliesthx@all...this was really helpful :) so the shadow price it is then....if it doesn't drop on my head til tuesday, i will buy it from the vanguard master
-
Shadow price is Suros minus the perk and the pew pew
-
I have both. Dr. Nope is a total joke and has no use period. Shadow price is very good if you like using auto rifles. I use it in place of suros if I need a special/heavy exotic equipped.
-
2 RepliesShadow Price is similar to the Surios Regime, but the perks are different. It is a decent auto rifle, better the doctor nope in my opinion.
-
3 RepliesBought the shadow price and it's a good AR, comes close to the Suros, if your lucky to get the loot shadow price then I think it's even better. If you want a good fun with decent dmg but doesn't spray then it'll be better the the doc
-
I got Dr. Nope randomly a couple weeks ago, tried it on a few missions... thing is trashgarbage. Never used it again.
-
I prefer Shadow Price, excellent aim and stability, good impact
-
Shadow Price is really something else. Such an amazing AR. My favorite "Go To" weapon of choice. Amazing for both pvp and pve. Good reload, Good impact, Range and Stability is fantastic. Grim Citizen is quite good too with its blindingly fast reload and decent Range and stability. Its pretty close to Shadow Price but Id go with Shadow overall. Suros is great but I hate the slow down fire while ADS.
-
Honestly I got shadow price I coveted that gun and I dismantled it. I love the doc if you get used to the kick and use the long clip to get back on target you'll find it's actually pretty badass. I'm talking pve here, I can get cries left and right I have it maxed out and it's a beast for me. I'd would suggest trying to give it more time. Your gonna get Atheons epilogue from the raid eventually and it's the same type of AR. Further more the first time I beat the raid. I was wrecking red oracles and I had a 29 ask me what gun I was using. It was the doc, woot woot.

Dr nope is a noob gun, shadow price wipes the floor with it
-
Shadow Price, Vanquisher VIII or Suros Regime are the best 3 ARs on the game
-
Three ARs in the tower are pretty competitive. Shadow price is great and then there is the grim citizen and the vanquisher IV. All are good, vanquisher is arguably the best.
